I had no problem getting what I wanted and even spent less. No VIP but I left happy nonetheless. That being said, I do think I got lucky in finding someone who was very accommodating. There was a time during the early 90's where stripbars all over Florida (Babes in Ft. Myers, Flashdance, Mermaid, Peek a boo in west palm) & Mons Venus had a robust dayshift. Yes I go way back. Because of the rain I mad the mistake of going to Mons at 2 pm only to find it. Closed. Of those clubs I mentioned, I was shocked that Mons Venus of all places decided not to do dayshift. Why?

The transformation of stripbars into stripclubs was & is a mistake. Because of greed, discrimination, & mismanagement, stripclubs today more resemble the elitist nightclub scene by pushing bottle service & VIP into markets that priced a great many guys from enjoying themselves thus relying only on wealthy stripclub whales as the customer base. Many stripclub managers & owners have this quality over quantity model in place. This is a mistake.

Stripclubs & businesses who rely on the super rich have found themselves out of business. I look at the closing of Nordstroms in Naples. All that wealth & all the workers who relied on a paycheck based on this model found themselves unemployed. A stripbar might be the only suggestion to save a club from going extinct. Fantays's at the Beach had a great dayshift long ago. Pooltables, games stuff to keep guys occupied while waiting on their favorite dancer. Owners took them out. Being in the hospitality business, anything you can do to keep customers spending money in your business as long as possible is a very good thing. Perhaps some owners & managers see this & make a change. After all the job that is saved might be their own.
