And before you think I'm coming down on them too hard, we aren't any better. If we were all that, we wouldn't have to go to some club and pay girls to get naked and rub up on us. I'm not sure who is more pathetic. The dancers or the customers.

The reality is that most of the girls are renting an apartment or house somewhere and will dance a few years and move on to a normal job. Yes drug use does go on in the clubs but I do not think its much higher then non stripper girls in the same age group. Yes some of these girls have shitty boyfriends but so do a lot of non strippers. I am so sick of people saying these woman dance because they are on drugs or because they were abused as a child or some other crap that makes them look like a victim. The girls are there because they can work when they want, leave when they want, and spend most of there time talking to their friends when there not entertaining some horny monger. Hung out at Emperor's last night. Very friendly dancers. Not super hot, but fon to hang out with. Stupid me, I lost track of the 2-4-1 dances in VIP and dropped $.4.

Club has new ownership, so they were trying to be very above board. Before long, the owner will realize that's not the way to draw customers and keep clientele. VIP dances were sexy and hot, but no extras.

I was wondering if prices have dropped from the $$. 50 that blaze gave me for full service and I was wondering if there were any pics on a website so I can pick and choose.

Last time I was there (previous owner) it was a similar experience (but they did have food). Been a while (and at least one other owner, if not two owners back) than it offered extracurriculars when I was there.

I remember the Seven Seas before the shower shows (it was actually pretty nice after that remodel). I think they remodeled the place three times in a year-and-a-half. My favorite was back when the stage was closer to the bathrooms and they had the benches in the back. Old 'Stixx was classic seedy (and I'm using 14th Street Washington D.C. seedy as a benchmark). New one (last time I was there) had the tinge of bleach in the bathroom but nothing like the old 'Stixx.

My favorite seedy was the original Club Mary in Sarasota (which was rebuilt then later sold off to the Cheetah chain).

1st strip club I went to was The Paper Doll in Charlotte NC back in the early to mid 80's. Actually I worked there in the band...yep live music in the club...unfriggin believable. Back in 1987 I use to play in Tampa from time to time at a club on Dale Mabry up by the Holiday Inn and some of the Mon's dancers would come up to the club after hours and hang. Being in the band we got to know them so on our off day we would go to the Mon's. Then I finally moved to Tampa 15 years ago and started to freq Stixx. I had the most fun at the old club with Lexxi...we got along great, boy do I miss her.

Having the fortunate experience of traveling around the USA for my company, MFever's mention of the Paper Doll/Charlotte, NC brought back fond memories of that fair city circa 1998!!! That was one of the strip clubs that I frequented while up there for 3 months; among the others were Uptown Cabaret, Baby Dolls, and the Mens Club. I do believe that my stay at [url=http://www.mensclub.com/]"The Mens Club"[/url] was the catalyst that uncovered my appetite for the "finer things in life"!!!

Regarding those Charlotte, NC strip clubs that I mentioned, I don't believe that they would qualify for the "7 Seas" vibe of a decade's past.

The last time that I was in the 7 Seas was in the mid-90's circa prior to shower room, so my interpretation is framed around that period. A few that come to mind, in my strip club experience, that may qualify for that sort of vibe - "lack of charm"

I am a Senior Member that has provided a lot of insight in international posts. I do not have time to read about Tampa. I am looking for the best places (strip clubs mostly), that offer extras in the back rooms, and that have the best quality girls. Something similiar to Solid Gold in Miami. This is drifting off the strip joint theme, but in reference to this lady TM's experience is not unheard of, based on what I've read. Elsewhere she has a lot of great reviews but then occasional negative ones will pop up with the "not clicking" theme. The reviewers don't sound like jerks, they seem genuinely baffled as to what they did or didn't do to get that rave experience they heard about. After reading through them I was left wondering if she has an issue with certain body types, ages, or something. It just seems like an odd pattern when you see it. On the other hand the positive ones had a similarity suggesting that she has a routine she uses with every client. The sessions sound scripted, if you get what I mean.
She gets back to Tampa fairly often. We had a meet scheduled a little over a year ago, but she had an email problem that kept us from finalizing on the day of the appointment and a video shoot on the following day which prevented rescheduling. Also, as long as I'm asking all these questions, how much was your girl asking for to go back in VIP and was that an all inclusive rate or do you think there would be upselling, in other words what do you think you'd get in the greater privacy of the back and what would be the total damage? If your club was Hollywood Nights as I suspect, I do know that regular lap dances there go for just $10/song but with so many dancers giving so much for free (or just a buck) I don't see the great advantage in going for that. And, as long as I'm being so inquisitive, just for some context compared to earlier reports: What time of the day and week were you there, were any other white people there at that time or at least did you feel secure hanging out there yourself? I gather, since you didn't mention anything about it, that at least your car was still there when you came out. :)
