Another Loophole (this one isn't good)
Teenagers under 18 cannot buy pornography, but they can work as strippers in Rhode Island.
The Providence Journal reported Tuesday that there is no state law or municipal ordinance that bans minors from working as exotic dancers.
As long as they have a valid work permit and are off the job at 11:30 p.m., there’s no legal way to stop them, the report said.
The revelation comes on the heels of a loophole in state law that allows indoor prostitution.
Two bills that would have closed that loophole have stalled in the General Assembly.
This seems like a pointless story because I'm sure (or at least I hope) none of the clubs hire girls who are under 18, but it's just more negative press that could keep up the pressure to close the indoor prostitution loophole. Hopefully the legislature acts quickly to require that dancers be at least 18 and doesn't try to connect the two issues.
PP and CF First Time SC Report
Questions I should have asked before my trip.
At both PP and CF I was quoted .6 for a nude LD. Talk about Sticker shock. Rather than counteroffer, I just settled for topless or made a quick move to the booth. What is the going rate for Nude LD at PP? How about CF?
And while I was getting the cabaret action at CF, Is there a standard tip for the dancer? I tipped .03 to .05 on the couch, but I want to make that I am not perceived as either a sucker or a cheap bastard. If I could have a bit of guidance, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks
