The main thing I would stress is that I would only resort to violence if I felt threatened. It's just not worth it to me to escalate like that. So I lose $150. Big deal. Once the violence starts, you have no idea where it's going to end. As soon as something goes sour like that, I cut my loss and focus on getting the fuck out. I've already lost that money and some dignity. There's nothing I'm focused on at that moment than getting out.

Of course, I appreciate stories of guys turning the tables like BurlyFish did. Bravo, I say. That's just not the choice I feel comfortable making.
