In terms of paranoia, you've got a better chance of getting caught on video buying minutes from your burner phone than voice fingerprinting.
Now, if we're talking cell phone pinging and tower association...that's a completely different story.

If you're really interested in knowing just how fucked up the law really is, get yourself a copy of the book to read entitled, THREE FELONIES A DAY: How The Feds Target The Innocent, by Harvey Silvergate (2011). Forget whether you like Mr. Silvergate, I believe he is about 95% correct in his research, views, and opinions on this topic (that's my opinion). I also think it's an easy, interesting read.
THE GIST or OVERVIEW of his Book:
The average professional in this country wakes up in the morning, goes to work, comes home, eats dinner, and then goes to sleep, unaware that he or she has likely committed several federal crimes that day. Why? The answer lies in the very nature of modern federal criminal laws, which have exploded in number but also become impossibly broad and vague. In Three Felonies a Day, Harvey A. Silverglate reveals how federal criminal laws have become dangerously disconnected from the English common law tradition and how prosecutors can pin arguable federal crimes on any one of us, for even the most seemingly innocuous behavior. The volume of federal crimes in recent decades has increased well beyond the statute books and into the morass of the Code of Federal Regulations, handing federal prosecutors an additional trove of vague and exceedingly complex and technical prohibitions to stick on their hapless targets. AND I'll GIVE YOU ANOTHER EXAMPLE of just how fucked up things truly are, CRIME has been coming down and down and down for the past 20-25 years, yet politicians are always promising more and more cops and, since it's always very popular to deliver on putting more and more cops on the streets, they always seem to find the funding to make good on those specific promises. So here we are now, crime is at a 25-year low (you may check the FBI's stats for yourself if you doubt it) but there are more cops employed today than there has ever been in the history of policing -- and "they" are constantly yelling and screaming for more and more cops to be added to the force. In any case, what do you think all those cops do? That's right, they keep arresting more and more and more people because that's what they're paid to do. There are very few breaks given to anyone anymore at the street level. The SOP is, if you encounter the police for any reason, they are typically going to arrest someone because they have to keep the numbers up or they won't get any more cops added to their budgets (and, it goes without saying, the more cops you have, the more powerful you are). It is, for example, why Ohio and many other states write seat belt tickets like there's no tomorrow -- just follow the money -- "they" get HUGE grants every year from the FEDS, but only if the number of citations issued keeps going up and up and up (which is all being driven behind the scenes by the big insurance companies so that they can justify premium hikes -- it's all an elaborate fucking hoax). And the really HONEST answer is that wearing seat belts has never been proven to substantially reduce deaths. I know it's been drilled into your heads to the contrary but, in actuality, it's just another myth. But I do wear my seatbelt so as to not give them a stupid reason to pull me over and fuck with me.
Our jails are now so overcrowded with mostly bullshit crimes that an entire mega-billion dollar industry has been born and is growing rapidly, which is the private prison system. Just like the USA Post Office does NOT own most of its branch locations, that is, they lease them from private owners, many local, county, and state governments are now sending its prisoners to private jails and prisons to serve their sentences, and the Feds are now doing the same thing too. It's utter madness.
IMHO, the law is all fucked up and will only get worse and worse until the lawyer-politicians are greatly reduced in number or thrown out of office altogether. We need to put some regular people back in office to straighten all this bullshit out. --SA007.

In this case I'm willing to bet they know who did it or have a very good idea, but they don't have proof. And if you don't have proof you don't have a case.

They are all working together. Then, due to the added cost, it causes more people to take a plea when some of the charges are dropped, which means the state doesn't have to make their case. Wonderful system.

The words never will utter from me. It's only time spent, the investment many dreams later is when the call to action is even considered, and the way I ask is "what do guys normally ask for when in your company?
