I asked her to send me a picture and I like what I saw so I setup a meeting for CarPlay. So we meet up at local parking lot. She comes up to my car and asks for the donation so she could give it to her handler and would return after she did that. Well guess what she jump in the car and they drove off. So I started chasing them but I gave up after about five minutes because 50 isn't worth wasting my time trying to get back. They drive a silver Pontiac.
https://indianapolis.craigslist.org/cas/6321384132.html[/QUOTE]Well this reminds me of a provider that was ripping guys off with a similar scam. She advertised on BP and when mongers arrived she would want the donation upfront in a parking lot at the supposed apartment complex she lived in. Others had given her the donation and then she took off never to be seen again.
I contacted her and met her at the same apartment complex where others had been ripped off. I drove up and parked next to her. She asked for her upfront donation of $150. While still sitting in my car, I took the money out of my wallet put it in an envelope and sealed it right in front of her. I then proceeded to hand it to her through the half open window accidentally hitting the window and dropping the envelope inside my car. I reached down and grabbed the other sealed envelope with only paper in it and a card from a LE friend of mine with the following written on the back. "I know who you are and if you don't stop your scam next time I will arrest you". I then handed that one to her. She said to follow her to the apartment. We pulled out and she took off never to be seen again. I received a phone call later from her because she was mad as hell. I then said did you read my card I put in the envelope Becky? After about 15 seconds of silence she hung up. She never posted on BP again.
Moral of the story. NEVER EVER give money to any new unverified provider until after the services are rendered.
