At your suggestion, I reviewed the search filters a bit more thoroughly. The boxes labeled "Search thread" or "Search reports" was the key. Thanks again, it saved me some money.
Was wondering if you guys have any thoughts on local AMPs over the last year. With the economy being down I have notice that most spas are happy to see me, especialy after they get to know me. Kyoto has been my choice over the last few months. Due mainly to convenience. It would seem with supply and demand in a sour economy that most AMP exreriences should be positive.
I was in need of some therapy after all of the power eating that I did on Turkey Day. Unfortunately, the pickings are slim on Black Friday. I guess everyone's out shopping.
I contacted a few indies, but none were available on short notice. I've been wanting to check out Hot Stone in Matthews, but they were closed. Smiles was open, but decided to pass for now. So, I stuck with the old standby. Lilly Hot Stone. And I'm glad I did.
Mamasan was her usual friendly self, while complaining that business is slow. I met a new Korean therapist named Bonnie, who said she just got in town yesterday! Late 20's-early 30's, very cute, speaks pretty good English and sports an impressive natural rack. She gave me a thorough TS, then 5-10 minutes in the sauna, and off to the room for an hour of rehabilitative therapy.
Bonnie has great hands and gives an excellent hard rub. And I mean hard. She even climbed on my back and kneed her way down my spine. I won't need to visit the chiropractor this week, that's for sure!
Sings during the session as well. She has a soothing voice, and I almost fell asleep.
She is very thorough, and it seemed like she went beyond the allotted hour.
Bonnie is lovely lady. I will ask for her next time.
Visited Lillys on Montana again. Mimi no longer works there but Judy has some great hands. TS, sauna, a strong and thorough massage, with a slow and gentle finish. Well over an hour with no rush at all. Excellent therapeutic session.
Visited Smile Spa recently - below are 5 reasons not to repeat my mistake:
1. Attendant was not particularly attractive
2. Steam room was not warm and I was left there for an extended time.
3. Sauna not particularly warm either.
4. Jennifer had no sense of what a therapeutic or sensual massage should be.
5. She asked for an additional tip after I had already given her $20 against my better judgement.
Visited HSS Friday and always have had great experience, seems they have a new staff lately but for the better. I never carry my wallet in there but just enough to get what I need but yesterday when I went to tip I was missing 60 out of my pocket. Only thing I can guess that during the TS session someone went in the room and help themselfs to a extra nice tip. The session was good enough where I'll continue to visit but will be extra careful on the pocket situation. I would hope what I think didn't happen but it was there when I went in. Super service otherwise. Good luck guys and becareful.
Always been having great service at HSS but watch your pockets. After visiting the TS and continued with the massage and awsome dream, upon tipping found that I was missing some $ out of pockets. Never happened before, hope it was a fluke but never the less watch your $ when leaving the room. Great service otherwise. The last couple of visits have been extra good with the right girl. Good luck guys and becareful.

I visited HS last monday night. Didn't miss anything out of my pockets. I don't take in anymore than I plan to spend and try to leave something laying so I can tell if anything is moved while I'm in the shower. Saw Judy ( I believe was her name) a pleasant lady of 40. Since I had one of those little cards they give out there there wasn't any of the you been here before crap.
TS and massage was disappointing but the rest of the services was better than I was accustomed to at HS. Judy requested alittle higher gratuity than I usually feel is reasonable but I'll probablely repeat but be more prepared to negotiate.
Does anyone if know if Island Day Spa in Monroeville reopened? If not does anyone know if the gals that worked there are anywhere else?
Thanks
Hello all.
Yes, I am a newbie (just to this board) and this is my first post. My eternal thanks to all that have posted as I have found the info to be fantastic!
Moved to Raleigh from Orlando, where there is great AMP action, and have been so dissapointed with NO action in Raleigh. I do travel for work, so I get to visit many other cities. I was cruising the Internet trying to find any info on AMP's I the area and stumbled across this board. What luck!
First time to Lilly's on the advice of this board. Mamasan was a little cautious of me but I lied and said it was not my first time. I asked for Judy (busy) and then Bonnie (busy) but she said I will get you a nice girl. She was at 30 years old, very nice natural C cups. Very hard massage without rubbing. Just used pressure. She did ask if I wanted anything more and she did exaclty as I wished and asked for. There was some slight roaming with no resistance and I left happy. I did skip on the shower. Just personal preference.
She would not say her name. She did say she "only been here a few days". Very attractive. 8 on the looks and 8 on the service. I feel it will get better on my next visits since I paid the. 8 door fee and tipped. 4 for the effort which I felt was good and sincere. She was pleased with tip and I feel I laid some good foundation for future visits.
I will gladly give more detail if anyone wishes to PM me. Lets all be careful here on this great and wonderful board.
My thanks again to all. Glad to have found you.
I have been many times and nothing has ever come up missing.
I mean hot ston matthews strange.
I lost $60 there. Couldn't believe it. But when I got my wallet out to tip the girl, it was a lot thinner. Beware guys.
Stopped by Lilly Hot Stone last night for a late night therapy session. Noticed a bunch of cars in the parking lot, and I thought maybe the mongers were out in force. Until I saw that the worship center next door was open for Wednesday services. An interesting juxtaposition, for sure.
It was fairly late, so I opted for the 1/2 hour session. I figured I should stick with half hour sessions instead of the full hour in order to better afford my new hobby.
I got Judy, who speaks good English, is friendly, and did a nice massage job, but I wasn't thrilled with her finishing technique. No attention paid to the boys at all. She was also unreceptive to mutual touch, saying she didn't know me. OK, that's fine.
However, when I offered her a. 2 tip, she copped a bit of an attitude, so I gave her an additional. 1. No repeat performance for me. I'll stick with Bonnie.
What's a proper tip for a 1/2 hour therapy session? I usually tip. 4 for the full hour, so half of that seemed reasonable to me. Apparently not, in this case.
