i'm not sure what the club is called now, but it is used to be called dv8 and it was indeed an **** club. different crowd back then and they had mid-level, moderately popular bands play there (rancid/less than jake are two that come to mind). it closed down for most of the early-00's and now i believe it's some sort of hip-hop dance club which might explain the younger hooligans and the security hanging around outside. hip-hop clubs also draw a lot of young girls.

the bar behind macdonald's is called the funhouse and it is known as seattle's punk rock bar - lots of folks from the "old" seattle music scene can be caught hanging around in that place. the owner is a well-respected radio dj and music/band promoter and has been deeply involved in the seattle music scene for decades. good place to get a beer, too.

i apologize if i sound like a broken record, but i wanted to share.

if you think the blond was legal and she told you she was 20 then it probably was worth the chance. so long as the girl is not obviously **** it is hard for the da to get a conviction so long as you asked her for id.

hmmmm. my understanding of washington state law is quite different. but my information might also be out of date. can you post the relevant info from the link? i only get a log-in page.

the following case study is more in line with my idea of how this state deals with similar situations:

As for the incident you mentioned the question of due diligence arises. This means that the person picking up the SW must make a reasonable attempt to determine if she is of age or not.

i recently saw an article, granted it was in the stranger, but it said since the guy made a good faith effort to determine the girls age he was not guilty of having sex with an **** girl and it mentioned it was part of the law.

it makes sense to me. say an **** person walks into a tavern and immediately gets carded. they hand the bouncer a valid driver's license that says they are 21. if later the cops come in and find the id is fake, i don't think the tavern owner can be prosecuted. he made every effort to determine the drinkers age and was fooled.

it is true that ignorance of the law is no excuse, but in this case if you're tricked and fooled by the provider despite doing everything possible to be in compliance with the law, then i think you'd be okay. myself, i just keep checking id's. a lot of guys say that fake id's are easy to come by, but if that's true how come most of the time they won't show it to me?

of course, you'd need a good attorney to defend you in a case like this and most want the whole amount upfront. a good attorney for a case like this starts at about 25 thousand dollars. and worth every penny.

I had no intention of going out tonight, but after giving myself a haircut and ogling in the mirror for a few minutes, I decided that I just couldn't deny some working girl my fabulous experience.

She doesn't get the felony treatment, like the monger would get. So, he has way more to loose than she does. Also, no need to hash all this stuff again. If someone is stupid enough to pick up a minor, then they can go to jail. Serves them right. Let's not try to save. I say, let them learn the hard way.
