What is going on with Brooklyn?
I went to the Yankee game Friday Night (Hey, they won!) and decided to cruise around on the way home:
Hit some bars in the Downtown Brooklyn/Ft. Greene area: All were either dead or were filled with Yuppies, Buppies, and Guppies.
Went over to Chess Club around 1AM -- TOTALLY DEAD. There is no action to speak of over there at all . . .
Drove past spot on Myrtle Avenue which is supposed to be a dance spot, nothing going on over there.
Cruised around the Nevins/3rd Avenue area . . . Nothing going on. Where exactly is the action at in the area anyway? Many people have mentioned it, but never has a location been pinpointed.
Drove down 3rd Avenue towards Belt. Did not feel like going to Club 37 (3rd Ave & 37th St), the last time I was there they tried to rip me off to buy a drink for a dancer (The $20 glass of "Champagne" she tried to order). Did not want to try the other spots on 39th Street.
Can anyone shed any light on the Brooklyn scene (whether it is for strip spots or the stroll) or is it really "The Last Exit for Brooklyn?"

You can usually find something in coney Island,Mermaid,Surf aves.
On the way back to the belt you could check oceanview ave. in Brighton Beach. Sometimes you'll find them there.
I've occasionally caught some chicks on Butler st. on Nevins.
Is the chess club the old Navyyard bar,Is that washington st. and where?
I live in Bklyn. and I can't find much at all, do you recommend any steady spots (here or Queens)?

I would guess you know the places in Brooklyn (maybe you can clue me in to some of the spots that you frequent).

I'm a long time lurker and a Long time monger, but I'm finally able to contribute. For those with questions about Brooklyn, read on.
I went out to Brooklyn late Sat. night(05/01) into Sunday morning. About 2:00 a.m. East N.Y.(Pennsylvania & Stanley vicinity) pretty heavy LE presence and I didn't see any girls so I tried Coney Island. I found one lsw on Mermaid and W.28th, not bad looking but a little strung out looking, but I think she thought I was LE.
I decided to go back to East N.Y. I went back through oceanview in Brighton Bch. and the only thing there was an unmarked. They watch that street pretty heavy from what I've seen in the last few years.
I got back to East N.Y.(same area as earlier) about 4:00 am. No LE and there was about 8-10 girls. All shapes and sizes, and alot of new faces, so there should be something for everyone's tastes. Expect $40 for cbj but the girls there are alot better than average. Only prob will be the long trail of mongers you'll have to deal with.
For those of you who aren't that picky, you can sometimes find some3's, 4's or 5's bsw's and lsw's around Berriman and New Lots area. I've found some gems there though in the past.
