Her story is right inline with the report. I didn't say she was wearing a tether because she was a witness. She has a tether because she got arrested that night for obstructing an investigation. She's out on probation until her hearing, and they probably consider her a flight risk. She is also going to testify at the dude's trial, which I believe is coming up soon.

Katie had met the victim several times in the past, but that night he had been pounding at the door acting crazy and later got into an altercation with her boyfriend / pimp (she just called him the dude she was staying with) at a different location at the hotel, either outside or in a different room. He ended up stabbing the guy and then immediately turned himself into the police and told him that Katie was still at the hotel and they should check on her to make sure she was okay. Katie didn't know that any of this had happened, so when a bunch of cops showed up at the hotel to respond to the stabbing, she told them that she didn't know the guy. Once they found evidence she was lying, she was taken into custody. The charges are still pending, but she's currently on a tether and still working backpage from the same place.

Don't go see her if you don't want to, but I personally feel that the fact that she is being monitored remotely doesn't make it more likely that police will show up at her room unexpectedly. The tether is used to verify that she's at the hotel room she lives in when she's supposed to be there. I'm not going to be arrested for walking in or out, she's clearly not a cop, and now she's working by herself because the guy she was with is behind bars. It's probably a way safer situation than all of you were walking into last winter when all the positive reviews of her were being posted; it's just that none of you were aware of anything back then just like you aren't really aware of the situations you're walking into with any of these girls.

This one was totally honest with me. She kept saying, "I don't know why I'm telling you all this," but I do know. I sometimes tend to bring that out in girls I click with, possibly because I'm fascinated by the lifestyle and want to hear the true stories about drugs, violence, and how much they don't actually enjoy sex. By the way, I forgot to mention in my review that Katie comes from a small town and is totally not as "street" as a lot of other girls. She sounds fairly well educated and doesn't come from a rough background. She only gave me her real first name, but with that I was able to find her facebook, which she hasn't been on in quite a while. On it, I verified the town she said she came from, her true age - which she had already given me, and I found the link to the news story that I put in my review - which she had posted on her wall after it aired. Everything she told me checked out. If you want to meet a real girl who will be straight with you, go see her. If you're afraid of a tether, don't.
