Some agencies are more regionally focused, OC vs LA, some have more access to other locales like LV or the Bay Area (SAG has connections to NOVA for instance), and of course the exclusives I've mentioned will pop up from time to time (NG and a few V girls are only available through CAKD OC, Anna K use to be only accessible through KGC, etc). These are just examples that come to mind but there are others.

At the end of the day, I think you'll be find starting with any legit agency and slowly build up to larger agencies if you don't have a specific time horizon in place.

The cold shoulder is a classic tactic employed by the larger agencies. If you want in, you'll need to be patient and give them a polite poke every so often. M of ROKM use to be infamous for this from what OGs have commented about her.

I reached out to an agency who I had never heard of and asked about verification and they said "oh you are Tony's friend you're good to go. " I don't know any Tony LOL.

Pretty sure there's a shared data base of some sort. Doesn't mean that they ALL work that way but I imagine they know verification is an obstacle and it behooves them to cooperate. Certainly doesn't hurt to ask / try.

This has been my experience with a few of them after getting the cold shoulder initially when I was starting out. Brought up how I couldn't see them earlier even thought I wanted to because they weren't listed with some bookers initially and they offered to vouch for me.

That and some PO's know each other and share information but yah they have a database of sorts.

CG does not use their hx profile much, no classifieds and not even mail but they can receive your pm to screen you. I had read on this forum that they were asking for PII on top of hx refs. I would never provide PII but fortunately for me, hx was enough. I have a good net, YMMV. CG customer service is great, very efficient, no small talk, phenomenal response time. I don't like the huge ass banner on their website tho.

CAKD uses hx actively and that alone should be enough if you have a good net. CAKD tends to have more exclusives than most other bookers, so definitely get in with them.
