I think I will pass on my appointment. Lets knock on wood and pray that I never have this kind of pain (4 years wasnt too bad; however, lets face it, this herniated disc isn't going away.) but the next time I suffer an "episode", Ill go to an Emergency Room and get a shot there. Kinda scared now watching these videos.
I do know that with proper exercise, diet, losing weight, strengthening the area around the spine, physical therapy? Will probably help me tons. I am in poor shape (due to my current job) and I just need to find ways to motivate myself. I felt really bad when Paula didn't offer me MSOG; instead, she offered me pills for my back. I felt cheap, used, and cheated during my session at Kison. This back pain is pissing me off. I'm 98% better now; as with each episode (3 total), time always heals it until the pain subsides but really, that epidural shot works miracles. In 15-20 minutes I'm as good as new.
Mahalo to you all for your positive, helpful input. I was lucky this time, and knew how to get out of bed, move in certain positions, and I had my SO help me to and from work. I am eternally blessed and grateful she is there for me. But she won't be forever. This will be a tough decision I need to contemplate. I not that old where I need the blue pill (yet.) I still want to engage in the hobby /continue to monger, I do enjoy posting my experiences here so others may learn and get great advice. I appreciate the PM's and sincere responses.
