It's an Ivan ready to happen. Speaking of that douche there's a few new girls that look hot, but considering his track record of success lately I would rather buy a National Geographic and turn the lights down low.

I went to one a few years back when I was living in Charlotte. Two or three people do the organizing and vetting, all done through e-mail.

On the day of the M&G, the location was sent to that morning. It was nice, at a bar in downtown Charlotte, but one of the

Rules were, no discussing business, you can take a number and call later. But you did get to meet some of the ladies from different.

As OneoftheGuys points out, mixing with those unfamiliar to you or, alternatively, those with mixed motives, may lead to an "Ivan" of epic proportions (thank you for the new colloquialism, incidentally.) This is not owing to any explicit discussion of the basis for the mixer, but rather the source of the attendees. How and where the mixer would be advertised defines the risk. If you want to do this in the safest manner possible, it would have to take place at a privately-owed residence or facility not generally open to the public, would have to be by invitation only and involve heavy pre-attendance background screening. Otherwise, you run the risk of having attendees whose interests diverge from our own sneak onto the guest list. You may ask,"If we do not discuss (thus and so,) then we cannot get into trouble." Judge for yourself the likelihood of a mixer consisting of mongers and providers not addressing in some form or fashion the game we all enjoy.

Then ask Jimtrueblue and others why such a real-world meeting is probably not the best idea.

Even aside from the, admittedly perhaps small, chance the LEO would bother to arrange something like that, it's entirely too probable that someone in the group could be trying to gather blackmail information (witness, as LegalEagle points out, a few previous board members' travails). Hell, one of them could be some goofy serial killer who thinks the world would be a better place with fewer mongers in it.

Wow I didn't check the board for a couple days and look what happened. I think it would be fun to get together and for a while while I was single I suggested we form a wingman type group to go out and score regular girls from bars. That said I'm "tied up" for the time being and the possibility of being exposed would certainly cause damage. I'm no law expert but just meeting mongers only wouldn't seem like that big a deal. I dunno.

The guys in Indy basically just get together and hit a strip club if I remember correctly.

Don't you remember a few months back when a "landlord" was on here in a rampage because he felt his business was being tainted through negative postings so he put a bounty on Legal Eagle wanting to know his true identity because he was angry about Legal's posts and the posts of several other members? He said he would pay any member on here xx amount of dollars if they discovered Legal's identity and gave it to him? He also threatened yet another member and said if that member posted one more time on here, he would tell that member's identity to the board? He posted publically the type of automobile that member drove as "proof" he discovered who he was. As Legal said,"ever wonder why JTB either quit posting or left the board? Prime example of what happens when you "let your guard down and trust" in this type of hobby. I am sure, none of can afford to be "outed".

This said, it is not a good situation for ANYONE to know anyone elses identity on this board. If you piss someone off whether on purpose or inadvertantly through a post, you just never know what can happen. This is one of many reasons it is not a good idea to meet. Others on here have posted yet more reasons, this is just not worth it.

If you're wanting to drink a beer and talk about the hobby, go to your fridge right now and pop one open, I'll do the same and lets chat. I don't need to see your face or the kind of car you drive to do that. And I don't risk getting a DUI this way either.

How do people buy, sell, use, drugs with other people, same risks. What about illegal fight clubs, sex clubs, again very similar risks. This type of stuff usually works through Mutually assured destruction. In other words that guy you don't trust at first is thinking the same thing and doesn't trust you either but you both have something to lose. There is also something to gain through this affiliation. Very slowly trust and even bonds are formed through careful planning and manipulation. There are of course many risks, many unlikely. There is nothing wrong with being guarded. What I'm reading is more like paranoia.

While I fully understand & validate the worries enumerated & expostulated by Legal Eagle, Nobecz, OneOfTheGuys, Slippery Dick, & Zomby the fact is that, as Great Cat Hunter & White have pointed out, members of other boards {incl' GBN, which I ref' to but didn't name} have been doing it without problems for years. While I'm sure that nobody who's hobby-interests must remain totally anonymous attends, the other issues of personal animosity don't seem to have ever occured. Now on GBN the guys who started doing the strip-club get-togethers obviously mostly knew each other from their area bars & clubs already so it apparently just grew informally from there as far as show-club meets. Their occasional other meet_&_greets, where more providers are formally invited, are more carefully done by invitation-only at locations that will give them the privacy to socialise without any uninvited "guests" or catering-staff overhearing private conversations or taking pics or videos.

I have no stake either way as usually only come to L'lle on KCR Machinegun Shoot weekends anyway, because where I live I'm anywhere from 2 to 5 hours (one-way) away from any of the major metro-areas anyway.

Took a trip out to the far east. Met up with Yoko. Petite, tan and had some enhancements. By far the best trip east I have had. One of the better trips I have ever had anywhere.

Now to go back on topic, turns out the garden is amazingly close to where I work. I might have to find time to visit during a "lunch" break. I asked for Amy for my first visit there because I thought her BP pictures were really cute. She's a bit taller than I expected and has quite a few tattoos and some piercings you can't see in the pics. Her body is youthful and very tightly put together though. Had a happy ending to the session though seemed a little distant. I'll have to repeat to find out if it was me or just a personality conflict that day.

This room where the pic was taken was the "party" room in the basement for after hours fun and smoking took place (if you know what I mean).
