Don't pay to see hidden pics or boost messages (if you connect, just ask her to send via text).
Watch for city / country changes (usually scammers).
Build your own list of potentials. Don't use favorite button, just copy / paste their profile link to a spreadsheet or draft email.
Customize your messages (make an effort).
Never send money in advance. Ever. Offer to cover drinks, food, transport (she just has to show up). Offer to meet near her. If they need babysitter / gas / whatever it's a scam. Always.
What's Your Price can be okay but most are going to be on one of the other sugar sites anyways. If you have game, it can be good while traveling but in the Twin Cities, pickings are slim.

But her phone number has an Atlanta area code, and her profile now says Lake Geneva, Wis. And she is really interested only in selling photos online; when I told her that I wasn't looking for photos, she went radio silent.
