Amar Spa has uprooted from Kakaako and planted itself on the second floor of the Seaside Commercial Center on the Ewa side of Seaside Ave. Unfortunately I didn't go inside so I didn't see what the receptionist looks like. All Chinese aunties except Noriko, a Japanese who speaks good English. They will ask you if you live here. Since this is the tourist district, prices are inflated but they will offer discounts. Note that the building locks up at 7 pm so you need to get in before that. Also, you need to sign in at the guard's desk on the first floor. The building is very sketchy looking but don't let that scare you off.
Located across the hall from Waikiki Wave Spa, this shop is brand new and more posh, with prices to match. Although it's also Chinese, there's supposedly no connection between the two. They seem to be hurting for customers, so be sure to bargain. Let them know that you're a kamaaina. They said that they didn't move here from CC or anyplace else. The receptionist looked younger. Before your session, they give you a free 10-minute foot bath. 9-7 except 9-2 on Sunday.

The other workers are Chinese or Taiwan people. Usually they won't do anything dark side but you can self serve and they don't mind.

Tried this place on Kalakaua. Walls don't go all the way up to the ceiling and they keep the doors cracked during the massage. All the mt's are Chinese as far as I saw. The massage was good and got the full hour. Would repeat when looking for just a massage. . 6+. 2.

Downside of the walls not going all the way up is if you have a talker in the next room kinda kills the relaxing vibe when someone is just talking story. Legit massage was good though.

I want to say when I visited she started with a sheet but took it off eventually as she did my lats and rib areas before moving to the legs. Sound close to your experience?

Never had a session with her that she'd remove the towel completely and never any hint of play. Too bad though I think she's cute. FYI if you talk to her she may lose track of time. I had a 90 min session and we were talking a lot. I Looked at the clock and we were at the 100 min mark and she was still massaging my legs as I was on my stomach. Told her we could cut them short but she said nah she had time before her next appt. Massaged the front and we ended around 2 hrs. Told her I'd pay for 2 hrs but she insisted I pay 90 min only. Score! LOL.

Need a recommendation for a LEGIT MASSAGE DURING NIGHT HOURS. Sometimes I get out of work late but need a really good massage. Extras are ok but the priority is a really good massage.

She is a legit massage therapist, but there are reports of more in the past. She is charging standard rates for time ($60/ hr and $90/90 minutes). I do not believe she is licensed.
She is a relatively young (late 30's) hapa-Hawaiian woman that is well spoken, very pretty, slim, with a great personality and nice man-made double-dee boobs.
She is not advertising, but is available at Dream Massage. Tell her that "J" referred you.
