The only thing the article points to as indicting he might have known he was interacting with a minor were some posts indicating she was a "young spinner. " WTF?

We guys do some weird things for pussy, but most of us aren't driving 600 miles for a date with a "young spinner" when there are more easily obtained options in the area. I can't imagine not being able to find a hot young spinner of legal age in Cincinnati, Columbus, Pittsburgh, or Cleveland that doesn't entail a minimum 8 hour drive each way to reach. That makes the logical conclusion that he was lured by the hope of getting something completely illicit. The FBI likely wouldn't step on the toes of local vice investigators for misdemeanor solicitation; only felony intent with a minor that was cross-jurisdictional.

I suspect that the good men and women of the FBI (HI YALL!) explicitly identified the "young spinner" by age, and that was omitted from the article or unknown to the paper. They wouldn't take a chance on a jury's interpretation of "young spinner" as proof of being under the age of consent--a defense attorney could cross-reference every ad listing a "young spinner" with ages of the ladies in question to show that there was no knowledge of the intended's age. There is probably a text conversation like this as part of the case. Her: "I'm only 14, you cool with that?" Him: "Yes!

Of course, your central point is applicable, important, and vital.

So here's what happened and I know what happened because after this broke I took the accounts apart to see what happened.

This was never a sting about hookers, this was ALWAYS a pedophile sting. ALWAYS. Everybody who answered the Smoke77 guy about his young spinner was IMMEDIATELY told she was a 14 year old run away with issues. Care to guess what happened to the few dozen guys who said "fuck no, that's sick!" Yeah, nothing happened to those guys. He never offered older "substitutes" he just stopped talking to them. Care to guess why? Yeah, because he wasn't interested in mongers who were interested in women, they were interested in catching pedophiles. When they got the pedo, he was told on several occasions what was going on and every time he was "yup, that's me, that's what I want."

Here's the awesome thing. Of the 600,000 registered members, and god only knows how many lurkers, guess how many got caught. Yeah, One. I wish some of the guys who talked to him would have reported it, that would have been great but I'm proud as fuck about how the VAST majority of guys here responded. We have always been a site where guys can talk about fucking adult women. I have no sympathy for a pedophile. I would have put the cuffs on him myself or at least cheered while they hauled him away.

I would probably put it at a few guys per day. Maybe a few per week.
