Hobart woman charged for promoting prostitution.
A Hobart woman has been charged in Lake Superior Court with four counts of promoting prostitution.
Michelle 49, of a mobile home park in the 600 block of West 37th Street, had rented a room on March 14 at the Motel 6, 3840 179th St, Hammond, when a Hammond detective working undercover made arrangements to meet 'Tori, ' who had advertised herself on a website as a massage therapist, the probable cause affidavit states.
When the detective arrived, a woman from Wisconsin said she was 'Tori' and quoted him a $150 price for a sex act. The detective arrested the woman, who identified Campbell as the person who had rented the room, made arrangements for the detective to come to her room and to whom she paid a portion of money she receives from johns, court records state.
The woman from Wisconsin said Campbell's operation had been going on for about two years and she's made from $60, 000 to $70, 000 as a prostitute.
Sarge is probably celebrating right now. Tori is not the sharpest knife drawer I am guessing she probably didn't claim $70, 000 on her taxes the IRS will be seeing her.
