In a way we all contribute to these ladies destruction. However, everyone has the ability to make there own decisions and she decided to spend it on crack or H instead. It's kind of like giving money to a wino that says he wants to buy a cheeseburger.

Much respect for your reporting (I almost went and bought a cowboy hat a few months back!).

Just my 2 cents. You did not destroy this girl in the least. She is destroying her self because she has a seriously dysfunctional, fucked up life. How that started, who knows. How it plays itself out depends on her environment, personality and experiences. Some people like that join cults, some become thieves or scam artists, alot find some powerful chemical escape.

As others said, if she hadn't found you, she would have found someone or something else to get what she wanted. If she doesn't have the willpower to change her situation, you cannot do it for her. I agree, it is definitely jarring and sad to see this type of thing unfolding before your eyes, but she took your money and didn't tell what it would be spent on, so you cannot blame yourself.

The indictments charging sexual relations with an inmate were returned against 35-year-old Stanford Norman of Springfield, 38-year-old William Muldrow Junior of Millbury, Massachusetts, 37-year-old Arial Reyes of Westfield, and 53-year-old Brian K. Murphy of Springfield. All are longtime corrections officers.

“The charges we announced today allege that the conduct was consensual and all the conduct occurred while the officers were on duty.” Hampden County Sheriff Michael Ashe said, “Are any other further steps going to be taken to prevent this from happening again? Oh, first of all this is not tolerated.” The sheriff revealed the investigation started immediately after he got wind of the alleged sexual misconduct last August.

The officers will be arraigned in Hampden County Superior Court within the next few weeks. They could face up to five years in jail.
