Does any body know if she is okay?.

Anyone hear from Junko? Tried calling but nothing. Fire is pretty big but at least on the Makai side of the building.

Hope you are okay. I drive by on Isenburg on the way home and the sparks are still pumping out on the mauka-facing side lot's of black smoke damage. Hit plenty of units looks bad.

It pretty much looks like her place is on fire! Best case, she'll need a new place. Damn!

The damage is visible looking at the ewa end of the building. People were trapped inside their units as the hallway is an interior one.

I am not positive; IIRC this building has no sprinkler system.

Supposedly the elevators were shut down and an evacuation ordered. She was probably too occupied to deal with her exploding phone.

For the guys that have visited her, what floor is her apartment on? Mauka or Makai?

I hope she is okay. I was watching the fire and it was intense! The fire on the 26th was roaring and it looked like there was no way to extinguish it, other than to let it burn out. Then the Ewa side burst into flames. RIP to those that perished and Godspeed to those injured. Someone from the 26th was interviewed said he heard screaming from 3 women for 5-10 minutes, then nothing.

Saw the news and thought the place looked familiar. Lurkers worse nightmare, being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Glad to hear that Junko is ok, but sad to hear on the loss of life. Instead of funding to build a light rail, maybe the city should use the money in fire prevention in older buildings and put in sprinklers. Much better use of the money than what it is being used for now.
