Throw away phone number apps
There is a new Scam in town that you need to be aware of. There is a site that is contacting girls, offering them $25 for leads of "Johns". Here's what I was told, by a BPGirl who is now working this scheme: You make a call to the BP Girl, she then "turns you in" to www.exposingjohns.com. This site publishes your phone, (and if it can be tracked down on Google Plus, Facebook or anywhere else, also your photo). If you want to have your profile taken down, it costs $$. If exposingjohns.com get the money from you, they turn around and pay the Girl $25 for the lead, ($35 if she provides the picture.).
Just wanted to remind everybody that there are a few apps (like Hushed) that let you buy cheap throw away numbers you can call and text from. You don't even need to buy a separate phone, so there's no reason to be using your real number. Be safe.
