If you're in the mode to splurge and want the high maintenance looking girls, you can check out the higher end classier bars. If you're more on a budget, there's smaller gogos that open earlier during the day and there's some nice looking GND types to be found. You're not stuck with the "Wherever you go, it's the same amount".

The thing about the AMPs here is that an hour (if you do get the hour) goes by pretty fast. So, it's like you need to make the most of that time before the hour is up. In foreign countries like PI or Thailand, short time (girl doesn't stay over) is still pretty long time. You can chill with the girl, eat lunch / dinner, watch tv and talk story before getting it on. It's not set at 1 hour time limit and she needs to leave. Unless, she's the type that simply doesn't like you and just wants to quickly get it over with. If the girl likes you, she'll stay over. A long weekend of drinking and mongering there doesn't cost much at all. When I was in Arizona, Nogales was a popular spot to spend a long weekend cheaply.
