On the bar at Buttfly yesterday. The KBGs are holding the house pupus (chili frank, chips, peanuts)) as hostage for nekos. Hahaha; slitting their own throats. Furlough Friday tonight, so 100% KB boycott to support our local bars and economy; USA.

There is a japanese bar called Aoyama on King St. near the McCully intersection. I also know there used to be a bar in Waikiki at the King's village complex on Kaiulani. haven't been there awhile, so not sure if they are still there.

Yes, it was Shiroi Hana a long time ago and later closed. Don't know what's there now. Several of the jbars I've been to are long gone; some of them only lasted a short time. Seems the places with the hottest chicks are gone.
I don't know if these are still around but you could try Club Angel at 205 Lewers, which is the makai end of the street on the Diamond Head side, in the lobby of what is now Imperial Hawaii Resort. I haven't been there in a long time but my old boss used to run it, and at that time there were some hotties but turnover was high.
Right down the hall from JR's suggestion (La Vie En Rose) is Bloom, smaller and not as nice as LVER but they sometimes have some chicks in there.
There is Club Gion in the Hawaiian Monarch Hotel in Waikiki at 444 Niu Street. It's changed names over the years; there are probably girls there but I can't comment on the quality. Perhaps I should do a jbar run for a change.
Also on S. King Street in McCully along with Club Aoyama are Genji and Serina; all just blocks apart and on the makai side ot the street. Small places and Genji may or may not have young hostesses. Maybe your friends would like to do an Animal House "Road Trip" and check things out.
My apologies in advance if the ones in Waikiki turn out to be dead-ends (Gion should be there, though).

Man now we are going way back and boy are those some crazy memories!
Decided to check this place out as I needed to kill time in town before heading out. Oh, Michelles is the one on Sheridan Street across Walmart next to Mayas. It was slow in there when we first arrived. We peaked in and noticed hardly anyone was in there. We then checked out Mayas nearby. It was busy in there and most of the guys in there were on the older side. Had a few decent ones in there but, the bar was full so.. we walked out. As we walked out, 2 chicks walked into Michelles. We then went back into Michelles hehe. Later on, more people started coming in. Mainly local guys coming in there to hangout and drink. Later, more girls started to come in. Get some nice looking local chicks in there goodness.
