There was another story that happened that I did find believable though. This college student got busted for texting pictures of his penis to his teacher who was a woman. That's another story where I don't think that kid will get charged but they arrested him to put him out there at least. The saying of innocent until proven guilty goes out the window with the media. However, I bet the teacher is getting police protection to an extent now.

Seventy officers from 15 different agencies pulled off the sting luring the men in by ads posted online.

How does anybody know who you are talking to on a computer unless you are having a video chat? All these men may or may not have had bad intentions but none of them are going to get convicted of anything I bet. This is what you call being able to throw people in jail too easily.

Yes you are right too. Being on the news like they are fucks them over because like I said the saying of innocent until proven guilty doesn't matter with the media. As you may recall I met that girl who was robbing guys last year with her boyfriend when one of the guys she robbed chased their car and got their tag number. I remember back in the 90's, they used to run drugs, which was so profitable that the incumbent sheriff / drug lord assassinated the guy who was going to replace him. Like full on, Sopranos stuff.

That's part of your argument? No offense here, but are you serious? That would be pretty easy to determine by computer forensics if someone really wanted to. I mean, they may get off for some reason but to allege that no one can find that information out is at best naive and at worst downright ludicrous.

Everyone I've ever known who worked at City Hall said there was just an ingrained, multi-generational culture of corruption; it's so bad even a good, well-intentioned mayor is eventually going to be stained by it. At times, it's so blatant as to be almost comical, although I think post-Bill Campbell there's a little more discretion.

Last thing I will say about this is that these guys are idiots to even go to the place where they were told to go. With the media, freedom of speech overrides innocent until proven guilty. While these guys are not guilty of anything in a trial and conviction sense, they are guilty because of freedom of speech by media.
