General Reports

I was just logging on to ask where else I should be looking. I've been looking day and night on several occasions and have found nothing. After reading some of the past posts my route is. Memorial to Rapids. Rapids to Douglas. Douglas to State. And State back to Memorial. I have not found anything.

I'll start looking on Taylor now. Is there anywhere else I should be looking?

Toss in a spin down Washington towards downtown from Taylor and it looks like you have it pretty much covered there. That's been the best route anyone knows of for many years.

It is no secret that truck stops are usually a place to find a SW.

My question is do you have to be in a big rig to get a date there?

And if not, anyone know of the best location?

Sounds like you've listened to one too many news stories about all those CB Lot Lizards being all over the place!!

Well it just isn't true.

I asked this very question to some of our trucker brethren for some mongering tips last year, and here is one of the responses:

I also had a number of PMs from a few of the fellas, and they all said the same thing. That the I90/I94 corridor has never really been that active going back for many years.

One of them said that every once in blue moon he might see or hear about something, but that nothing was repeatable enough to say it really exists here. They also said that things were a bit different on the Indiana side by Gary and around the stops near Memphis.

But were talking many hours of driving just to try to take advantage of those areas. Sorry to rain on your parade, but mongering is a hard hobby these days.

Ok guys, I'm having a very hard time finding any SW action when I'm looking for it. I'm hiting all of the spots that people suggest and I've tried every hour of the day and night. I know that some have gotten phone numbers from SW's in the past and if anyone has one or a few I would greatly apreciate it so that I can have one meet me at a specific place and time. I broke my own personal record for the number of hours driven around looking for SWs & man, what a disappointment. I saw the sickest looking SW I've ever laid eyes on. She coughed as she walked my way & a ton of stuff came out of her mouth. Anyway, I finally picked up a sweet early 20s gal just off Memorial.

There are not too many reports on this board these days so I hope I'm not just writing to myself. I can sort of see why - the streets are more empty than they used to be. Pretty surprising since I heard today that unemployment in Racine is 17%!

Anyho, I reluctantly picked up a much older blond gal (Brandy or Debbie, I think) who didn't look too great but she got the job done for $20.50. She walks on Douglas, mostly north of High. Said she always swallows as she never liked spitting. Fine with me. Despite her old age I'd pick her up again - she was easy to be with & knew what she was doing.

Still here, however I've only had the chance to pass through Racine at night a few times in the past months. I've found the streets to be suprisingly empty. The rare SW I spotted either didn't look appealing to me or was picked up before I circled the area and got comfortable that there was no LE presence.
