7 'Johns' snared in prostitution sting

LOWELL -- Some people say you can't put a price on love, but police said they arrested seven men willing to pay for it during a reverse prostitution sting Thursday.
Three female undercover officers worked Cupples Square and Armory Park on Westford Street during the afternoon and evening.
"Usually they are approached by lone males," said Lt. Jim Hodgdon. "They just stand there and wait until they are approached by a male."
The sting was unusual in that the Johns, or customers, usually drive up to solicit sex but a few of them walked up Thursday, Hodgdon said.
The numbers were down slightly, too.
"Who knows why, we usually get a dozen or so," Hodgdon said.
Police arrested three men in Cupples Square then four more at Armory Park.

The area is not where I would consider mongering on a regular basis anymore. If I run through and see nothing it's time to head out. At least in Lawrence you can get off the beaten path and bide your time until shift change. Not here, They will hunt you down like a dog. You can not find many outside the regular st role routs around the city. A fue years back you could spend hours riding all around the usual track areas. Never get more than a slight glance from LE, See how many laps you get in now, please report back.
Times are changing and so are the ways of the law.

Lowell has always, ALWAYS been dicey. From bike cops to stings to the strolls being near bars and people. Lowell can be the best, and the worse. Now that LE has done it's "job", Lowell is safe for mongering. Thing is, they probably locked up all the girls.

Guys do what you want but I am sure the streets will be watched now for a while. They don't bust guys today and turn there heads the next day, I am sure of that.
Any gal left alone and not in the slammer will be a red dot in the LE laser. Use your head, they never close and never will. I am also sure someone else can be the test track dummy for the next few days not me.

Drove down South St. about 1:30 today and spotted a thin brunette. She was merrily bobbing along just past the school headed toward Appleton. She gave the signal for me to pull over. I passed and 1/4 mile up on left-near pool was a bicycle cop hidden under the trees looking at her. I suspect no trap from her, but he was all set to get us if I had stopped.
So BEWARE.
I was making a few loops around the same time. I think I saw her too and also another one sitting on the side of the street with a back guy next to her. She made a mimick I could take for a sign. But not sure. Anyway I didn't see anything worth stopping.

This is my first post after lurking here for a while. I thought it was about time to chime in. Had a nice time with Vicky the other night. Not a bad body but her face could stop a truck. Funny personality and an unrushed BBBJ CIM.
She said that LE is continuing to run stings on Westford St so beware. As of right now I refuse to look at anyone I don't recognize.
Made the normal cruise around westford st. and the LE are out in force. Did manage to pick up a blond and get a BBBJCIM for the usual price. Be VERY careful out there.
LM, is she the one with burgundy hair? If so, she's been around for quite a few years. I also noted in the Police Log in the Sun that our favorite SW was busted for "B&B in the daytime" along with her current squeezer. I've seen her a few times since but not sure if she's working.
