The only viable option is to tax & regulate marijuana.
They are already doing this. I got connects to the Medi scene, family that owns dispensaries, they all pay their state business taxes.
In the next 36 months, or less, CA will be debating and voting on a ballot intititive to tax & regulate marijuana based on the liquor model.
It will pass!!!
$$$ will be generated by the millions...

I like your vision man, but the feds will *never* let it happen.
Can you imagine the implications if, by the sweep of a pen, hundreds of thousands of people suddenly stopped becoming criminals, and stopped being "immoral"? Why, people might start to think that the ability to sign a piece of paper and make thousands of law abiding citizens into criminals overnight is insane.
Can't have any of that. We're way too puritanical/Victorian of a society.
Oh yeah, and on a side note, it's nice to see how politicians are getting around the stigma of using prostitutes to get their rocks off. They just solicit sex from random men in airport bathrooms. Now *that* is morality because no money ever changed hands! George Carlin said it best when he pointed out that in the military you get awards for spraying napalm on people, but here in the US you go to jail for giving someone an orgasm...

Geez, what would be next? A revival of the red-light districts, where people could go to do their thing without bothering the so-called moral citizens that are outraged by such behavior? Could happen, but neither I fear will take place in our lifetimes.

Just look to your neighbor in the east. Prostitution works in Nevada there is no reason that alot of the smaller rural counties in California can't do what they did. It just makes too much sense.

I was thinking more of a section of a large urban center, LA to be exact, just as we have other district, why not be allowed to do this without threat of reprisal, since nobody is going there whom doesn't know what its about.

I just used Nevada as an example of how it could be done easily and everyone in that county benefits from the business. They charge the prices like they do because there is no competition.

Come on guys if we had a legal section of the industrial that was all cleaned up out of the way with strip clubs, massage, and full service locations, it would crush the economy.

Hmmm I honestly believe with the co-operation of the city, we have enough industrial areas where we could revitalize, I have seen the part of the city, it is way out of the way yet still convenient, it could accommodate hundreds of different locations, it could be an entire huge complex area with housing clubs restaurants bars strip clubs an adult only escape. If the city played ball, they could charge a tax on top of sales tax for LE to patrol, it would be 100% private property including the streets so no assholes could come to spew there god rhetoric, permits could go up for random distribution, streetwalkers anywhere near the special district would face mandatory 100% of there time in jail 1 full year, PD presence and private security would keep trouble to a zero. Throw in a casino to boot. Short of that fantasy, we could dedicate a spot in an industrial area east of la, where le could patrol to keep out troublemakers but the s/w could roam free, littering speeding etc would be handled by a city attorney who would prosecute these minor offenses to the fullest, everyone in everyone out drives right by video cameras so no freaky shit on either side would be tolerated just straight up pay to play. I don't know why we haven't tried to move the action and see how LE responds. LE fears crime, if it is moved to an industrial area would they leave it alone? Would everyone play by the rules? Would the girls be cool with it? How would things change if most action was moved to industrial areas? How would le deal with the pimps - wanna be pimps, or would they self regulate?

The only problem I see here, is drugs and prostitution go together, that's one of the main reasons why LE is cleaning the SW tracks, and legalizing prostitution won't get rid of the drugs!

I debated whether or not to even post this, but what the hey, you gotta take the bad with the good.
First, it took 4 hrs. of cruising on SB to even find anything. Minimal LE presence, but minimal SW presence too. Ended up picking up "Kim", tall BSW, about 5'10", face 5 body 6, kinda flabby in the rear, attitude 6. She charges $ for FS or $2.0 for one hour. Did a mediocre (maybe I should say poor) job of cbj, then insisted on doggie (why with that flabby ass I have no idea).
The only plus is that she will go anywhere you want to take her to do the deed, and she says she has a room when she is working.
If you desperate, she'll do, and as always YMMV, maybe I caught her on a bad night.
For me its always a turn off when they won't take their top off.
One girl was a looker, but her attitude was beaming off like the sun I didn't even bother. I took another hour to drive the track from Saticoy to the 101 and back concentrating on the area between Saticoy and Vanowen.
I saw maybe 11 girls out few were better then 6, and most were down right nasty. To name a few of there problems, Old, Ugly, Out of Shape , Dressed poorly bad hair, bad attitude, bad manners.
Problem is you can deal with one or two, but most had all those problems.
Some could say I am too picky, but an honest opinion is quality is nowhere to be found, and the worst part is these girls want to charge you an arm and a leg for it. I am sorry I just can't settle that low, for less then $50.00 I could easily hit a club or bar near closing time and bag an ugly or fat one who would be more willing to play.
Things have got to pick up or I am going to increase my monger range to include San Diego, Mexico, Vegas, and O.C., and Pomona on a regular basis.

I have yet to have any girl offer drugs on the menu, legal or illegal. 90% of the girls I have seen either do nothing, or only smoke weed a few more will do yayo, and I only remember 1 who did X she was a trip. I have yet to see drug dealers standing on fig or sepulveda due to the s/w activity.

Short of the lowest street dealer Most drug dealers are not busted from selling to cops, but they sell to someone and either rip them off or the person feels ripped off and then they turn around and notify the cops about it then the cops come looking to buy, that and pissing of the neighbors are two sure fired ways to get shut down, this is not from personal experience, but just common sense.

Now Money and prostitution I see a clear relation, Money and Power Money and _________ Laziness and Prostitution YES it is easy to hit the track 3 nights a week make a few hundred or a few grand tax free make your own hours no asshole boss hey it seems attractive to many young women, especially the ones who are giving it up for free.
