I guess it just comes down to perspective and tastes maybe. I have never spent that kind of money on one girl in Philippines or Thailand. For Japan, from what I have experienced it can be the same price very easily but it can also be very much higher. Except there, it is always what I want and never 'bad' or mediocre service. Of course, I am referring to the local Japanese girls and not the Korean girls as they are much the same there as they are here.

For the Philippines, I personally don't feel it's anywhere near as expensive as here. You do occasionally get bad service no doubt but then again the price is much more reasonable to make up for the random dud. Also, the mamas there are far more involved in the whole process than here. You don't like a girl, you take her back and switch her. LOL!

But then again, Japan is five hours away and the Philippines eight hours away. With the way life is and only getting maybe two to three weeks of vacation time a year, it is hard to justify going there solely for women.

For many years, Japan was was mongering playground much more than here. It was not unusual for me to be there on business trips every other week or more than a hundred days in a year. It took me awhile to get accepted by the locals and learn the true what they think or what Japanese call "honne" mindset. I picked up the language and could be invisible as a gaijin thought to be japanese national blending in among them enjoying all the different venues (which are many) and experience what almost no foriegners ever do mongering wise. Paling around with the locals was the key. Its so obvious that that's the best way to experience what a place has to offer wherever that place is and often wonder why guys don't make that a priority when in unfamiliar places. I was lucky to experience the ritzyest to the raunchiest depending what friends I was with. I met and played with the high society guys to yakuza oyabuns and even guys that ran the todokos (soaps). Many are still friends that come here. Foreigners and even long time foreign residents there may not get to exeperience many things there because many japanese STILL have the pre commodore perry mindset. The places that accept gaijin are mainly just a mongering equivilent of going a tourist spot here. Kinda like going Blue Sea to experience KBs, LOL. Through it all, I think the best bang for your buck was and still is the civilian venue. Its not as shooting fish in a barrel garans like before now but if you let them know you from hawaii I think not bad chances unless you one old fut like me. If you look or under 40 ish, good chance even with the 20 somethings. Freebies is freebies and no can beat that.

Generally speaking, the older Japanese nationals are racists by culture. Even if you are of Japanese ancestry and can speak the language, they still wouldn't consider you "Japanese" because you are AJA. Luckily the world is getting smaller each day so it's much easier for foreign nationals in Japan as opposed to 20-30 years ago.

I kind of regret passing on our sponsor's offer to take me to soap land on my trips. I always went on business with a co-worker (females) and was too embarrassed to go because I didn't want the office gossip when we got back LOL. I did however get a chance to get a peak at some of the love hotels there. Man, too bad you can't operate a business like that in Hawaii. Cha-ching!

In japan the people are very disciplined and usually always on their best behavior. Of course word is the yakuza is pretty much everywhere now keeping things in tack. Anyway, if they were to do a live hotel here it would just end up becoming a scumbag hangout. Its nothing really special, its just a nice small hotel that charges by the hour.

Yeah even if your ethnicity is japanese they can recognize and are treated even worse if other. Assuming you find a spot that will accept you, 200 is the minimum but that basically just gets you basic FS for about half an hour and they probably going send a non japanese. One of my friends actually got a japanese once, but she was from hawaii LOL. If you want the real deal soapland stuff with hot national most likely unless you can disguise yourself as one of them, you going need someone to take you and should expect to pay 500+. They run specials sometimes at lower cost, but unless you can read japanese off their billboards they won't tell you. Anyway about feeling ripped off when I pay 200 here. For the most part yes now because of how much the scene has changed. I actually enjoy the aamp scene in socal so much more despite being 50 bucks extra.

Some are quite nice with pretty awesome themed rooms and extra services like karaoke, movies, food service, whirlpool baths, rotating beds and such. You can also opt for a long stay, which equates to overnight. It works out perfectly fine to tour Japan staying at love hotels instead of normal hotels. Just don't bring too much (any) luggage.

If you look at the scene here, there is so much BS that goes on. That applies to both the establishments and this forum as well. However, in Japan that is not a problem at all when I am escorted to the Soaplands with my local associates. I do pay probably double what I pay here but what is abnormal about that when you consider the quality. The girls that I pay $500 for in Japan would probably charge over $1 K here in Hawaii for sure and would most definitely have a horrible attitude at that and rules. In my experiences in Japan, I have none of that nonsense. Anything that I want is fine and the girls are very attractive. I do not even think the Japan forum is even very active on the Jackson's international forum area. And that is for a good reason, if you can get into the Soaplands, there is no need for this forum. It will be drama-free, the girls will be beautiful, and you will have a good time because they will ensure that.

But you just have to find a way to get in which is not always easy for many because it can be quite difficult to get close to Japanese people from Japan. That's good and bad. Bad because it will take time to build rapport and trust. But good because after you are truly friends then it will like having actual brothers, seriously. See'est la vie. But take comfort in knowing that this is how it should be. Getting together with TRUE friends and enjoying the company of quality ladies.

I guess it depends on where you are in SoCal. If you are in San Diego then I'm not sure why anyone would frequent the AMP scene with Mexico right next door. I was other there every week when I lived there.

It would be awesome if there was something like that here. I wouldn't mind spending an hour or two in a different themed room on each visit.

I remember reading somewhere in Europe they have like a large parking lot with walls that divide the stalls for "privacy". Maybe we should do that at the site of the old Kam Drive-In LOL.

There's not much in the way of amenities; but if all you're looking for is a place to lay your head for the night, the price compared to regular hotels is very reasonable.

She was purty enough but needed teeth straightening maybe. What a fucking lay! She loved sex and was totally uninhibited. We'd FUCK then fall asleep, I'd leave her spending money, she would press my clothes, maybe make some cucumber namasu and noodles in the early morning, shower, change, then head back out so she could catch the train and get to her regular job. Many "regular people" stay there too and probably account for more revenue for the hotels than love couples or outcall meet ups. I prefer onsen ryokans myself with fabulous meals tho, hehe. Taking a bath in the outdoor natural hot water pools with chicks and everyone naked is awesome ;) . No way hawaii would allow love hotels tho which is really sad.

BTW, I understand what koabear means about j friends. Some of my friends there didn't admit to going soaps even after I knew them for years, LOL. I've had choke soap sessions over the years especially my young man days and I don't need a host or j national to go with me. Not all soap places expensive or only pretty girls and good service even for non gaijin places. There is ALOT of competition only on a much larger scale there. I also think soap prices have pretty much been reletively stable over the years. Its the devalution of the us dollar over the same years that makes it expensive now rather than increase in prices Just like here, going with the right friend knowing the good places makes a BIG difference. My high society friends there that go infrequently know way less than soap aficianados or even me long ago, hehe. You need to understand that japan and korea now is a brand name society. Many japanese themselves have never been soapland, experienced real geisha, ate kobe steak or ate at an authentic kaiseki restaurant for example. Kind of like only knowing about VIP here. STILL, I say if you want action and not old like me, go for civilians if your stay is short as its your best chance.

They are all about $50.00 per night and amenities range from almost nothing to having free Shin Ramen, toast, popcorn and ice cream. One room had two king sized beds, a karaoke room, a huge shower and jet tub. The also had computers, and a massage chair. Too bad the ball and chain was there too. There were women on the street stopping single guys that were walking by. Would be great to go back alone.
