I don't know what your sex life is like (and I don't want to know), but if you haven't gotten any of late that is a contributing factor. On the other hand, if the two of you were playing hide-the-sausage the night before, youse got some 'splainin' to do.

Don't blame her, just point out that you are virile and need regular sex, and that was part of your expectation when you married her. Most men want a personal $lut for a wife, but too many wives think that their husband's sex drive is some kind of a joke.

Stand your ground. You have NOT been unfaithful, you were tempted. And you resisted. If she is a drama queen, she may escalate this into a crisis, but it really isn't. It's like some guy hit on her and gave her his number, but she did nothing. Suspicious? Perhaps. Grounds for divorce? No... Not unless she already wanted a divorce and is looking for a convenient excuse to blame it on you.

The sex-is-food argument applies here. She may be the best cook in town, but if she tries to starve you into submission, you're taking your ass to McDonald's.

This is a problem that has a clear solution. Your part is fidelity, hers is doing what is necessary to keep your sperm count low. Or she can do what most women do, which is to piss and moan and b!tch and whine and complain to sympathetic ears, which solves nothing.

Remember that you have not actually DONE anything, just written some texts. You were tempted and resisted. She may try to use it to make you feel guilty. Don't let her. Be strong. This too shall pass.

We all are in this for different reasons, be it for the purely physical part of it (mostly) but sometimes it can be more than just that. If you felt you were missing something in your marriage and this was the avenue you chose to fill the gap, tell her. You say you love her and want to save your marriage, so explain why you did what you did and maybe she will see that she may have played a small part in it too. If she wants to make it work too you will be back on a somewhat even playing field. You will still have a shit ton of work to do but it might work. Just a suggestion.

But I will point out that the mere possession of one is enough to raise very serious questions by a wife or SO. (Did any of you watch Breaking Bad?) so its no panacea and you've got to keep it well hidden. For those of you with smartphones, there are several great apps that you can use that give you a special phone number or otherwise keep your texts hidden. Check out textme -- you can lock it with a passcode and bury it deep in your smartphone menu so its hard to find.

All the phone technologies, burn phones and precautions ain't always fool and find out proof. Getting caught seems to be a chance we all feel is worth taking. I really appreciate everyone's input. She had given me plenty of warnings because she suspected something was up but had no hard evidence. I always covered up by saying petty cash spent on drinks, topless bars and massage here and there. There were red flags like one day there will be 180 bucks in my wallet and next day an empty wallet. Problem is she does not want to talk at all. Just wondering girl who me texted me (100 hh Preston hwy red roof inn from 233-xxxx) could have just kept quite but she chose to tell my wife she had used protection even though I never met her. I don't know any better but if someone texts me like this generally I conclude it is some sort of set up or sting.

This was a lesson of a lifetime. Hope this will help others.

RED ROOF INN NEWBURG RD. Thats where I got several bites last summer. I called the board of health, they inspected the hotel the same day I called. Closed up three rooms. Supposedly you close up a room and turn the heat up to about 120 degrees and it kills them after several days.
