Traveling on Scott on the opposite of UH, from McGowen to Elgin, I have had some luck. Take any of those side streets down to Emancipation (basically making a square), you will find something you like. Anita St, closer to the emancipation side, is usually buzzing with action near an apartment complex. Driving a block down & taking a left, you will find a convenience store that can be fruitful.

I've found success mostly on Anita st (closer to Sauer) near an apt complex and it's neighboring streets. However, there are many who walk this squared area at any give time (hence the quality). Their is also convenience stores that have some stragglers at times.

Words of advice: If you circle the same crowds too many times, they become fearful that you are Uncle LEO. Act swiftly and w / purpose in this area. It is considered the "hood" but some of us blend in better than others LOL.

A few that I recall:

Last week I spent that week in Houston and while scouting the area I Learned somethings:

Bissonnet is not completely dead. Plainfield is completely dead, which should surprise no one who stays on top of the game.

The side streets are key, such as Woodfair st. There are a few at night that walk along Bisonnet st but beware of Jhonny law parked in the parking lots.

It's hot outside, so It should be no surprise that you see no one during the day. Try 8 pm when the sun has settled for the day then cruise through the side streets. Note, it may not pick up till 9 or 10 pm.

Slim pickings is all you will get on most week days. If you are not into BSW then tough luck, you might find 1 LSW, if that. I had a bad experience with one.

All of this is only for Bissonnet track, the new track is just the side streets of Bissonnet st. 8 pm.
