Two of the best experiences I've had were from individuals who posted on BP.- one who was touring from Chicago, and another that is local, but also tours to other areas. Neither was low budget, by the way. By the same token, I've used a high-end reputable service, and not been completely thrilled with the experience (not that she was bad.- just not all that great considering the service and cost).

However, to the point, I the majority of advertisers I avoid completely on BP. I think most everyone operates that way.

As for the sleuthing / checking.- I think it just makes good sense. I use every review method at my disposal. SouthernGuys results helped me find a set of reviews I would have otherwise probably never found. That in turn helps in setting expections and knowing much more about the services offered. There is also the aspect of those who are more new to the process or "hobby". I think it's a learning experience for both the provider and client.

I've found this forum particularly useful.- not only in posted reviews, but also in terms of the other information shared.

But I figured what the hell and went on to reputable sources and boy was I glad to have made the change. Sure I had to give up information that I may or may not have been comfortable providing. But here's the logic. Are you comfortable with rolling high risk dice or are you comfortable with lowering your risk and getting high returns? Problem solved in my opinion. You can pick your poison for sure but I'd rather consume mine at a more tolerable rate. Since I changed my outlook I yet to have one bad date. Not one dime wasted. No having to check around. I go with reputation and I make my way. Sure some don't have the funds to go this route but let's take a look at it. If you have four BP crapshoots a month at $.5 each that's $ a month. Say three of them are bad or just meh. You have wasted 450. Take a GOOD reputable source and get 2 solid dates instead with your play funds. Seems logical and reasonable to me. On the flip side, based on the type of ladies some of these BP lurkers pickup, their taste in women is..well, very bad.

This is all in my opinion and experience, so take it for what it's worth.

Any opinions?[/QUOTE]I agree BP has become a breeding ground for fake pics, IMHO with one goal in mind, to get noticed and then hope the person answering the ad decides to stay. My intent is not to write a dissertation about why BP is good or bad, simply to point out some hobbyist enjoy the hunt for hidden gems and when one is found the reward is often worth the energy to do the research. I can only speak for one person so you have to decide what value it brings to you. The research is not for everyone, just like many of the providers are not for everyone. No one can judge what is good for another hobbyist and I would not presume what is good for someone else, basically to each their own.

Creating another thread might reduce the number of posts about fake pics, but I am sure it will not reduce the number of posts asking about info on certain providers. I believe knowledge is power and the more info a person has, the more likely the outcome will be what is expected.

USASG has arguably save hundreds of $ for fellow hobbyist, including myself and I believe that includes giving back to the forum in either reviews or ways to prevent from being mislead. Another option is if you prefer not to use BP as a resource for your hobby then why read this forum.
