Let me try again. In the last 6 months there were 3 occurances of SW pickups on Copeland by USASG members (2 members) during the same time frame that you were cuising 11:30 pm - 2:00 am. I'm counting Marissa as one which I believe is a stretch. So the average would be 1 occurance every 2 months.
The Point Is:
1 SW occurance every 2 months (1 day in 60 days). These are pretty crappy odds! You asked in your post "Am I too early?" The answer is "No". It's just the odds are so slim. Odds of running into a SW on Dot Ave during that time frame are soooooo much better!

First off, Thank You for your concern about gas usage (and being pinched. There's a real Simple Answer! You have to think outside the box (Normal everyday person). I work the Night Shift in South Boston and take the X-Way to the Braintree Split to get home. Andrew Square is the closest spot to jump on the X-Way. Well, I can get on the X-Way (After sometimes hitting DD) or I can head down Dot Ave and take in the sites. Traveling down Dot Ave. I can get on the X-Way at Columbia, Park, or Granite, my choice. It's the same distance from Andrew Sq. To Granite Ave whichever route you take (Google Map it). Yea, probably a little more usage in gas due to traffic lights (City mpg). The Copeland Loop (Furnace Brook, Copeland / Water, Franklin.) adds 2 miles to my distance. So what are we talking about with gas $2. 25/ gal and 25 mpg, at most $0. 50/ Troll. Yes, I agree, there's always the danger of being pinched, comes with the territory. When I used to hunt in Brockton many years ago, I really was burning gas!
Now the most important part of the Simple Answer! You need to have a few regulars in case something happens (Girl disappears / moves, takes a state vacation, changes service, etc). I don't consider Kerrie a regular yet, and if her new service policy remains in effect, She's gone! I have a few regulars with their phone numbers (As everyone should).
