I bore all of his suggestions and tips in mind when I went looking. It worked very well and helped me avoid potentially unforcomtable situations.

It's sometimes they are afraid to what the abuser threatens to do beyond the black eyes and bruises. Or after a beating the guy says that he loves her or she makes him so crazy that he does it out of love! It's twisted. Sometimes restraining orders are too late and the girl winds up dead. What my experience was that the serious ones that want out just leave. They take nothing w / them and get as far away from the abuser as they can and never have contact w / them or anyone that they might know. That is where us volunteers would donate items like clothing, hygiene type stuff for these shelters which were under cpd guard. Some just can't or won't leave so I would believe it is also a co-dependency. The lifestyle of a provider is volatile at best and when they are in the life that is when they feel needed. All imo but this has been my experience as I have wondered and asked the same kinds of questions.

It's understood that a lot of these girls have pimps. But this guy made no absolutely no effort to hide his presence.

Imo I believe that you are right on the money. Another reason that I think the life should be legal. The providers would be better served and at least safer overall.
