Be wary of anyone in a uniform that says Metro Police, they tend to be police. CG's do not wear that uniform but Metro Police sometimes dress like CG's.

I was curious about hotel prices for the mayweather fight, so I looked on expedia to see what prices are for that weekend.

The average hotel rate will be $570! I checked into places that are usually low-Palace Station ($300) Hooters ($344). That is just crazy, seems like New Years rates.

I checked into the host casino for the fight-mgm ($1600), yes and that is for rooms that are a dump, the west wing! The sad part about that casino is the that.

They are charging $23.50/ night for resort fees. They have the nerve to say internet, parking and something else was free? No, you pay for wifi through your resort fees.

They say as resort fees, you get to use the safe? Since when did anyone charge for safes? They have a whole list of "stuff" on the resort fees.

I would recommend you read what you get for resort fees at any casino, these guys took this lead from the airline and ran with it.

If you don't have to come during fight weekend, stay away. They are going to gouge everybody, including the locals. I feel sorry for those who planned a weekend.

Unbeknownst to them of such a crazy weekend. It will be fun I believe. The best part for me is that I love filipinas and since the pacman is Filipino.

There will be a lot of pinays. Also, you can expect our weekend whoreriers to be there. Some will get greedy because they know that they will.

Only be there for the weekend, so bargains can be made the last night.

Fortunately I'm coming in the day after the fight. I've been in Vegas for major fight weekends. It's horrible.

As for resort fees, I've noticed hotels in many cities starting to charge them. It's a way for them to advertise lower prices since the resort fee is added on after. And they don't pay commission on resort fees when someone books through a third party site like Expedia or Travelocity. You don't get anything extra that you didn't get before. Wifi (which sucks in most hotels anyway), use of the exercise room, etc. Big deal.

Often some great deals are found here way less than the casinos especially during busy dates.

Excal has rooms for 249 and I'll stay there for $750 any day of the week.
