Most of the good ones, the Gems, have all tried working BackPage and even they don't like it. Girls I have meant who have worked BackPage all have complaints. There is the LE problem, the problem with pimps and the overhead cost. It's the same for me. I hate the hassle of having to weed though the ads. If it looks too good to be true it's probably not true. 2. Never ever talk specific with a girl standing outside of your car. 3. Drive a few blocks before talking business. What are the rules for avoiding a set-up once you've entered a BackPage girl's room? Once you talk to her on the phone and then enter her room you a pretty much done for – even if there is no money exchange. Your intentions are pretty much obvious at that point.) And, lastly; the thought of driving a long distance only to arrive at a bait and switch is my biggest fear. I hate being played with. Other than the room, the increase in cost, the pimp hiding in the bathroom there is little difference between your average escort, stripper, Backpage girl and a StreetWalker – they are all just women – and any difference is imagined.

I've met a couple of girls from BP over the years, but I would only say that there was one I'd consider seeing again. You never know what you're going to get, I. E. Stolen / blatantly wrong photos, upselling, etc. BP is notorious for girls that are "visiting", which is a code word for "I'm not looking for regulars, just a few quick hits with minimal time and effort". I keep seeing reports that rate girls on some presumed SW scale. That being said, [I][B]I have no idea what the hell I'm doing when it comes to the streets[/B][/I]. I'd not only be way out of my comfort zone, but I'd probably end up becoming one of those "must read" lessons for all newbie mongers must read before heading out on the streets, LOL.
Cephlapod Love once gave a newbie monger some advice to rtff, rtff and rtff some more (I'm paraphrasing, of course, but you get the idea). He's also given me some great advice personally as well. Since I'm technically dabbling in the hobby, and it puts my personal life at a great deal of risk, I think it's good to learn as much as possible. Your comfort zone is the K, mine is significantly different, but I still learn something many of the more active posters here, and by the way, hopefully this doesn't come off as pandering, but I owe CookyJar, HungryCoyote and Cephlapod Love a wholehearted thank you, as each of you has gone out of your way to give me advice in the short time I've been here. I appreciate it, since I haven't really done anything to distinguish myself that would make me deserving of such.

Also since I have accumulated some blankety blank years myself (probably a blank or two less that you, but blankety blank nonetheless) , I know that I can't function if I'm rushed. The former limits my ability to peruse the K, and the latter pretty much makes backpage worthless as it's very rare that you find someone that's not rushing you, to start. To finish. To get out of the door.
I greatly prefer having one "friend" that I see on an ongoing basis. A "UTR" is perfect for me. That allows me to have a known entity. I can plan in advance, I know that I won't be rushed, and I know what to expect when I get there. I've actually found a couple of UTR's over the last several years on CL. Again, the same risks apply, but since there's no "provider" section anymore and there's and absolute shit-ton of spam, it's more luck than anything. At any moment, situations can change and I could find myself looking out at that horizon again. This forum is kind of like a safety net so to speak, just in case I do find myself in that predicament. At the end of the day, [B]I think that in the long run, it may be easier to find a decent steady thing with the information presented here, than on CL or BP[/B]. You certainly seem to have found some really great ones over the years.
I cruised a bit on Sunday afternnon. I did not make any stops. I did see alot of action down Somerset and I think it was Huntingdon station. I do not go down there much.
