Not too worried about cameras
Anyone concerned about LEO placing cameras in massage rooms since the big Kraft situation in Florida? I just wonder at times if cameras are in the rooms.
I actually work in the investigative \ legal side of lawsuits for mutli-million dollar cases. You will not see much of the police installing cameras in massage places in the future. The problem is that ALL of the legit customers had their privacy violated without cause. There are several lawsuits in the works (or already settled) by legit customers as a result of this Kraft case. The reason that this one is GOOD for mongers is because it was so high profile, normally they harrass the mongers and the legit customers never even know that their privacy was violated. The way the law reads (in FL anyway) you can not legally place a camera in a place where you have an "expectation of privacy" without your consent. It would be the same thing as placing a camera in a bathroom. The police can get away with this with probable cause, BUT that does NOT protect the police from paying damages for violating a the civil rights of legit customers.
This is different from the stings in a hotel room, where the monger is coming there for the purpose of an illegal activity. At this Florida massage place (at least), there were legit customers.
If you are still worried, get the "spy camera finder" app for the iPhone. It's almost as good as a separate unit.
