Going to be in the area next Sunday night. How's the action there on Sunday? How much are the dances these days?

Some girls will give a good grind & allow some roaming, but the more "personal" touching isn't likely. Most seemed to be willing to do 20 per song, but some want more than that, up to 40.

Now the thing I just can't deal with is almost all of the girls that were there have had the booty enhancement. & I'm not talking in a little added. I'm talking like an f'n basketball is stuffed up their miniskirts. It's so odd to see these petite, slim dancers with butts that stick out like a womans belly that's 9 months pregnant with triplets. I just can't enjoy that, but that seems to be the trend at Carls (at least the day I was there). I would say it was like that with 7 or 8 out of the 10 dancers that were there.

I moved up near Milwaukee and haven't been down in while. I can remember reading this thread about reports that the area was dead but then I would still find one off Lake, Madison, or Heim.

When I was there I was approached by an older lady but the dance was mid. Everyone else I had to flag over. And I'm one willing to use my elementary level Spanish. But yea, very unwelcoming. It baffles me that they rather sit around not doing anything than make some money. The migrant beggars have more initiative than them. Makes me not even want to get to know the people that work there.

Really wish there was more intel on Gold Room. I drove by (accidentally) Admiral Theater yesterday and it got me thinking of how bad the strip clubs are in Chicago area. I just posted in the Milwaukee forum. I go to OTB now (in Franklin WI) and have been for the past 3 years. Well worth it, but not always perfect. I just don't get why Chicago clubs exist. Head to OTB for a nice and improved time d PM for more details. Admiral, Gold Room, Scores, and VIPs are all so bad. Wish they could improve their business model.

Thanks.[/QUOTE]So going waaaaaay back, I believe the Mardi Gras was called something like "Tommy's Yacht Club" (I might have the "Tommy" part wrong) or something like that. Back in the early 90's they occasionally had the Lingerie "fashion shows". Across the parking lot was a night club called "Stay Out" then changed to "Shaboom". It was a rinky dink disco type club but was an amazing pickup bar. I had some fun from that place including with a smoking hot blonde bartender. Those were some fun days.

So is this new place Fiesta worth checking out?

Hey, I've got two "Where are they now?" questions.

Older blonde Polish beauty at Js. Got an all time best dream about conversation and HJ from her. She was a real sweetheart, she went in back for a minute and, being Js, a fight broke out and I figured it was time to make myself scarce and I'd come back for info later. Then Covid hit and then everything collapsed and I never laid eyes on her again. Last year I chatted with someone at all Stars who said she was still around. She dropped a name which I have, being old, forgotten.

The other was at Playpen. Reddish blonde hair, thin, a little on the older side. Very spacey but not unattractive, A little flighty and squirmy with dances. Spoke in a stream of consciousness manner. She invited me to her place, I think on Roosevelt, but I was leery of a setup. She gave me her number which, obviously, years later, I don't have. I still wonder what's in the alternative timeline where I decide to follow her after all.

We're talking 4 - 5 years. They could be cops or Congresspersons by now. Does anyone know anything about them? I'm not even talking about hooking up with them, although never say never. I just want to know if they've survived and are out there.

Visited recently and not a bad spot to have a drink. Lots of TVs and places to sit. Didn't not have a cover charge during the week. Lots of Cubans with little to no English but give decent dances. Don't think extras can be had due to the open set up and cameras. Did have two dancers grab my Johnny a few times but not to completion. They offer $10 dances during certain hours but none of the girls follow that rule. $20 a song and most of the songs aren't really cut short. Athena was probably the best looking girl during the dayshift. Parking not too bad and the staff is super friendly.

Anyway I was out to dinner about two years ago and she waited on me. She did not recognize me from my playpen days or the couple of times we hooked up (she is still spacey). I went back about a year ago and asked where she was and the hostess said she no longer worked there. I am assuming she moved on to another waitress job. Looks like she moved on and is out of the hobby business.

I'm originally from the O'Hare and will be in town to visit this weekend. Are there any good strip clubs or lingerie bars still around for some action? Went to a lingerie bar off Manheim last time I was there, can't remember the name, but it was to strict for any extras.

Mostly average-looking dancers. I miss the days of Louie's, Playpen, and Bobby's. Those places were lots of fun.

Newer owner bought Chances are and Possum on Mannheim a couple of years ago. He put a lot of money into Chances are. He did not change the name. I never really go there anymore bc it's a late night place and my days of staying out to 4 or 5 am are well over. I remember the bar a little west of there on grand Ave across from Ozzie's had dancers for a little bit. That didn't last. It's a gambling cafe now.

Anyone remember Fantasy Bar on Grand Ave just east of Mannheim. It was the location where that lesbian bar use to be called Temptations I think. Fantasy bar lingerie club for a quick minute but it didn't last.

I would appreciate reaching out to me if you were active in the strip club scene back in the 70's, 80's and 90's in Chicago, including Cicero, Lyons, Manheim or wherever else there were things going on, including the swing clubs. I have some questions for you.

You know as I remember it, Chances are saw spillover from all of the other bars. It's where everyone usually went to end the night. And so anything that went on there was usually an invite to a house or a negotiation for time after the bar, or MOSTLY the girls from other bars laying the spin on the guys at Chances are for the final dollars of the night. So basically that was the action there. Spillover from the rest of Mannheim. The only girl I remember from our days who WORKED there was the gorgeous blonde bartender.

I'm with you as well at the age limit. I COULD maybe pull it off, but it had to be a solid night to begin with and let's face it. That's hard to do with the whole scene on Mannheim basically dead and the old crew that we knew totally dispersed.

I don't remember much else about Grand from that era other than a place with good food but not part of the scene. I think it was called "Sneakers". Gorgeous women there, but more like "Hooters", less like "Mannheim". But Grand Ave going East into Franklin Park is nice. Not a hangout for us mongers.

On that note I've now and again stayed in touch with a few of those girls, but they only want to talk to catch up and after that the spin starts. "Come and pick me up, I'm in an apartment in Glendale Heights now, but lost my license". And the come and pick me up usually comes with a bill and no commitment for how the night will go, so I don't bite.

Such a shame how this once vibrant link has died.

But there is not much left of what was so much fun for us and at the same time profitable for those who worked at Bobby's, Louis's, J's, etc. KO's is not bad, but nowhere near the same as the old bars. I was successful at finding an old friend from a former bar there who was totally cool at meeting up OTC. She was great. Tiny, petite, little ebony that I would love to hook up again with. But she has moved on. And good for her. You may be able to find someone who works OTC, but it will take some time for sure. Good luck. And lmk what you find if anything!
