Whether you are "mongers", "hobbyists", "intimidated by the emotional connection to a woman", "grew tired of being hurt and conned by woman", - for however we classify ourselves or for whatever reason we all chose to "do what we do".
I have always viewed all of us as a community of collective consciousness.
I have honestly shared my experiences with all of you and loved living vicariously through your experiences.
Though for some time now most of my will, interest, determination, etc. to continue the "pursuit" has left me.
I have - to some degree grudgingly - prepared myself for the time when I have subjectively reached my "end of cruising the stroll".
My feelings are a jumbled mass:
I am confused, calm, angry, nervous, peaceful, depressed and "grateful" - grateful for being spared HIV and arrest for well over 20 years; that I have been spared some pain of the "pursuit".
I feel it is time that I must in some way justify to myself the termination of a pursuit which no longer holds any hope of having a minutia of the essentials which make a small portion of my life worth living.
I did desperately want to continue on with our common pursuit, something I damn near loved and gave me great satisfaction.
But again, the pursuit can no longer be -- I am "defeated" and exhausted
emotionally.
I can no longer "separate" myself from what I have begun to view as the "tragic", behaviorly "circular" lives of the ladies walking the stroll.
All the above has just sucked all the damn fun of it out of me.
I will still remain a member of the forum and read your posts. If it's OK, I will occassionaly post a "what's up".
Not to sound weak or corny men - but after over 20 years I just need to have my damn hand held by a woman I did not have to pay to do it.
I only hope I may meet her.
The choice I have now made is solely my choice.
It is still my firm belief though that there is absolutely nothing wrong with men who enjoy the pursuit.

Every so often, for the benefit of the new members, I post this disclaimer. Regardless to what members such as, Timexpired; may believe, my name is CookyJar and not Frankenstein. So here is the jest of it. I don’t control the quality. I wish like hell that I did. If I had my way, every time a girl undresses in front of my camera, she had the body of an escort or porn star. Yesterday while checking the archives for previous reports on cute, young "Carol" who I just reported on in the Philly Streetwalker thread (Davey corrected the name to be "Carolynn"), I came across a post and pic by CookyJar from 2007 that mentioned his beloved former "wife" Andrea and how he'd heard she might be in Atlantic City these days. I must have missed that report when he first posted it.
Talk about a lightbulb going off in my head. Duh. I've seen all the pics and read the reports CJ has posted about Andrea over the months and years. I knew she is extremely tall - 6'4" or something as I recall?
As some Philly mongers know I spend a lot of time visiting my money in AC and at one point I also did a lot of mongering there too. Andrea is definitely in AC, or at least she was as recently as 2-3 weeks ago. She walks Pacific Ave and is one of the very few SWs you'll see out regularly in that town anymore. Since the murders a couple years ago, the AC SW scene has almost completely evaporated.
Somehow I never put 2+2 together and realized that the very tall, dark-haired girl I keep seeing out all the time is Andrea. I'm 100% certain. For AC visitors looking to find her she can usually be seen walking anywhere in the area between the Taj and the midtown casinos (Bally's Caesars), but I think I've sometimes seen her even farther down the stroll past the Plaza. The most common area lately has been up near Resorts. I've never seen her wear her hair straight, it's always in a pony tail or up some other way. As I think about when I've seen her, it seems like it's usually or even always been during daytime.
Personally I prefer petite, smaller women so Andrea never really caught my attention even though her face is decently cute. But I know Cooky has said more than once that she is his all-time favorite. During this time of year I always try to shorten the time I spend on Kensington Avenue. It is, after all, a family shopping area and law enforcement always takes a more visible stance around this time of year. I close up shop and wait for the New Year. Occasionally, I’ll make a pass just to see who’s out and about.
On my last trip I ran into Lisa. Our date was nothing fancy. That’s not a bad reflection on Lisa. She did all she could to make it a good time. Well as far as pulling over, best is to get the girls attention and let her
know you are interested. Slow down, put on your signal and turn down
a side street and find a parking spot. Most girls will know to follow you.
Or as you have been doing and getting out and walking up to them which
is one of the safer ways to get them.
