You can use the minimum number of minutes, then delete and download again for a new number any time you want. If you don't like carrying two phones or receiving inbound calls, this is a cheap and easy solution. Have used it for years.

You can buy a burner with cash and pay cash for the monthly card for your minutes.

The VoIP app is a great idea. You have to be diligent about deleting it. Make sure you don't have any other phones or tablets linked to your main phone if you use the app. You don't want it downloading to those devices.

Always remember to go through your regular phone and turn off all the location services off. Once you turn them all off, look through your phone again. IPhones are sneaky and have the location based ads and significant locations inside. I crapped myself when I got the iPhone with that feature and saw it was automatically turned on. It showed a nice history of hotel visits off 23/270 and Polaris. Always turn off location services when you are doing anything and make sure you don't have your phone on a family or "find my friends" setting.

Do not use your real number or even your burner number. When you make fake social media accounts you can then go to "find contact" of your various lady friends and their actual social media pages. This, along with reverse image searching, can be very helpful.

Make sure all of those apps have everything turned off inside of them.

Know how to get the SIM card out of it quickly. If you get nailed with it, swallow the thing if you have to.
