McHenry / Crystal Lake (McHenry County Area)

This is one of the three that was busted a while ago so I would hope they would be more careful.

Saw an ad for a spa in CL so gave them a call the other day. An Asian answers. A MALE. I hate that when a guy answers the phone. Strike 1. We chat a little and he invites me to come see the brand new spa. I say ok but don't make an appt. A little while later I hop in my car to go check it out. It's easy to find on 14 near McHenry Ave. I almost pull in but don't as there's two Asian males hanging out by the front door. They're mid 20's and don't look intimidating or anything but I decide to just do a drive by. 10 minutes later I swing by again and they're still there so I keep driving. Again I don't want to see or talk to any males when I'm trying to get some stress relief. Strike 2. Rt 14 is very busy and the front door is located in full view of the many many cars traveling on it. Nice parking lot but again high visibility. I live within minutes of this place so I have to be careful. Strike 3. The place looks really legit so I'm not sure if I'll be checking it out the inside anytime soon. YMMV.

Checked it out a few nights ago. Typical clean and new AMP. Typical and some familiar faces. Typical and reasonable rates. Everything is typical. Except for the location. Now that's not so typical. This place is far out. I mean far from anything. Out in the middle of nowhere. In the wilderness almost. I only encountered one car while getting to it. I've never seen one this discrete. I like that. So for that reason alone I'll probably go back.

The up charging is ridiculous. She wanted $.00 for a Saran Wrap covered BJ. No thanks. Took the HJ with no negotiating. After the finish she left the room while I got dressed. I left .60 on the table. She returned to the room and said tip was too small and wanted more. I said no. So she starts saying I give you good massage. I've been in this situation before and things can get hairy so I put down another .20 just to make her shut up. Still not happy she wanted the change she gave me for the massage. I laughed, grabbed my "free" mini bottle of water and showed myself to the door. I won't be returning.

Thanks for the report. I will add this place to the list of avoid. I saw a review on another site that mentioned the up charging.

In hind sight that is probably what I should have done. It seemed like she didn't want to cause a scene but you never know how these girls are going to react. I had a suspicion that this place was operated by the people that run Blue Sky. The ads are very similar and both locations are very close in proximity. I've had up charging issues at Blue Sky also so I should have known better. Unfortunately the little head was in charge this day. The haggling over price really leaves me feeling unsatisfied. You shouldn't leave after a massage feeling pissed off.

That's exactly what Blue Sky does. Last time I was at blue sky she wanted 60 too. I said that was too much. She left the room and then I left.

Went there today. Doors are locked. No Open sign on in the window. The sign on the door says come see us in McHenry. So I did.

Stopped into Lavender in Dundee to follow up on some unfinished business from about a month ago. Was greeted by an older woman / fugly, a 4 outa 10. She barely could speak an ounce of English. Seeing it wasn't who I was looking for I asked to see any other workers. Finally she figures what I'm asking and calls for the other girl. Fuglies older sister, a 3, comes out of the back room and immediately grabs my arm and starts walking me back to a room. Whoa! I'm not feeling this. From either one. So I politely excuse myself and head for the front door. That's what I get for not checking back in sooner. I'll give them a couple weeks and stop in again to see if the talent is any better. I know this belongs in the Elgin section but somehow it got started here so I'll end it here.

Saw a new spa as I drove down 14 near main st in CL. Standard looking AMP set up but on a main hwy. Too close for comfort and too out in the open. I think it said jj spa or something on its sign. I give it a few weeks before trouble starts.
