The way to go is getting the passport and the passport card.
The card works at the land border with Mexico (not for air travel) and nobody will stamp it.
But you can go back and forth without any problems.
It's only 30 dollars more if you get passport and card at the same time. Otherwise I believe it's 65 for the card as a separate application.

Thanks for the report! I plan to go down in the next couple of weeks for a few hours at La Mansion. Last time I drove down, years ago, and did not have Global Entry and went through the Global Entry anyways. I played dumb, said it was a mistake. They let me through and said don't do it again. Now I have GlobalPass and vehicle registered with Sentry and trying to decide if I should drive or walk across. After your report I think I will drive. I assume you walked? They would not stop a vehicle entering and ask for passport and stamp it, I am thinking?

On foot they don't always do it either, you would basically playing Russian roulette when it comes to that. Better to have a passport card if possible so you don't have to worry about a stamp. Although truthfully most of the time you can't really read whatever they stamp anyway. They use shitty ink.
Thank you for the info. When I got my passport renewed a few years ago I was on the fence about the card, should have pulled the trigger. But at least I got the sentry pass. At the time driving seemed so much faster with a Sentry pass and was thinking why would I ever walk. Straight through to La Mansion and then back without having to walk across, then walk to vehicle.

I love planning my trips from ATL to SD so I can go to one of the best places on earth HK! With that being said I want to do some knit picking about things HK can improve on to make the experience better. First thing is can we get someone to sit in the alley between the gate you go through to where you go get the shuttle. I've never had any issues, but I always have an uneasy feeling making that walk. 2nd can we get the girls off their phones and engaging more. Both times I went this trip I literally had no place to sit down at because most of the girls were sitting down and on their phones. 3rd can we stop having the bar server guys bring random girls up to you after you tell them you doing ok. I'm a big boy, I know how to pick the woman I want. If HK can fix these issues the experience would be that much better.

You may be the small % who doesn't fall for this strategy, but the house wins more often than not, so of course they're going double down.
That's why I prefer private incall services even though I pay much more. But being able to scratch your itch with peace of mind, is worth it to me.
I've been to HK three times and can compare the experience with my non-HK ones. It's a fun time, and makes for great male bonding with your buddies, but that's as far as it goes for me.

Just to make sure things go smoothly, I'd get the room for 2 people and tell them your girlfriend will be joining you later.

El Rizo the hotel across the street is much more lenient. Even the girls have suggested it's the better hotel + they don't trip if the girl stays beyond an hour, Hotel Cascadas demands you buy drinks for extra time with girls.
At El Rizo the girls will arrive and wait for you in the lobby. Easy.

Would it be a mistake to go on Memorial Day? I guess I'm specifically asking those who have previously gone on a holiday. I imagine it will be busy, but will it be so busy where it would not be enjoyable? Thanks.
