Gardenia Location and Foot Traffic
Wonder how long that is going to last? Location has too much family oriented foot traffic for the volume that and NDS / Kings would generate. I frequently see young families leaning against the Gardenia window while waiting to get seated next door or for the rest of their party to leave the restaurant. I'll bet the police move more quickly on this one if it becomes a nuisance. I'm staying away.
Conventional Wisdom has generally been that LE is more likely to come knockin' at an AMP door if there are "complaints" from the neighborhood (either residents or nearby businesses), which might explain why we see AMPs most frequently located around barber shops, liquor stores, pawn shops, etc. (mostly "men" type stores), or in shabby stand-alone buildings away from "family-oriented" businesses. So, your hypothesis holds water in the case of Gardenia. I know that location has been a Massage establishment for a long time, but the (MUCH) increased traffic going in-and-out of the AMP with the new ownership (and increased service level) may well draw attention and a furrowed brow, or two, from next door.
Given the small/crowded nature of Gardenia facilities, along with the proximity of the very popular restaurant, I gotta think they may be shopping for an alternate location. Hey! I wonder if the space where NDS used to be is still available. THAT was almost ideal! LOL!
