The walk to get to the front of the line took about 7-8 minutes and you'll get stare down by some of the people in line. 2 minutes with the CBP agent and I'm back on US soil. This was on a weekday.
Also keep in mind that the drive from HK to the boarder can take a bit too depending on traffic.
I realize this is not Tijuana, but for those who occasionally venture farther south, a few notes I made on my recent holiday.
First off, it's amazing how many "Massage Parlors" are within a 4 or 5 block radius of the marina and the girls are all actively seeking customers! Another successful 2 day stay. Arrived Monday night to a packed club. Several gorgeous women to choose from. Had my fair share of new hotties this trip but made sure to visit two favorites of mine, both providing BBFS and even let me add on to my collection of home videos.

TJ is really the US southernmost US city and they mostly speak Spanish. I have gone 20 times and knock on wood never had a problem other than girl issues.
-Get a room at Ticuan hotel for each of you; reserve it directly. You can bring 1 girl to your room (but you can get two with two rooms).

Hello bruddas! Anyone have any new concerns about driving or walking over the border at San Ysidro since the new administration?
I usually drive over and park in the garage at La Mansion. One thing that I sometimes think about is the garage door opening up while I am up stairs and some dude sneaks into the garage while the girl walks up the stairs and he has time to hide a package and record my plate for package retrieval later. Just my imagination running wild perhaps.

Its to much of a hassle and takes to long to get back across the border. I also don't use taxis because they will sometimes rip you off claiming a poor exchange rate. Uber is very cheap in Tijuana and you see the price prior to getting the ride and they also arrive quickly.
If you plan on walking I highly recommend getting global entry otherwise the line could be two hours long. With GE you sail right through in a special lane.
