I noticed the headline last night when I was shopping -- I had turned off the internet and the TV a little bit earlier in the day because I was tired of hearing about politics -- so, I picked up a copy and read it when I got home last night.

The attorney in question -- alleged orchestrator of all of this -- wasn't a trafficker. He was opportunistic, and predatory (if what is said about him turns out to be true), but, he isn't a sex trafficker, unless you count the walk from the Justice Center to his office.

Part of me thinks it's just sensationalized reporting based on a rumor that happened in Portsmouth.

Fucking help us if they look at that shit here in Cincinnati; Lord knows we'd be all fucked here.

It's probably not that hard to find a retired or semi-retired guy who wants a cheap thrill, and they probably have a budget to pay him. In this particular case, a younger addict who gets flipped probably isn't going to be that believable.

So they get a choice get snagged or work it off by helping bust the bigger fish. They then get to keep their snag off their official record.

There was one such senior member here who ironically has only one post in the last 18 months who got pulled over leaving an appointment and was given the choice to help out or get charged with something bullshit (can't remember). So that person agreed to help, was given a cell phone that stayed on and recorded the next few sessions with that same provider to be used as evidence against her. She had a pretty good lawyer who worked the system well and through discovery requests found out the identities real and here of the person.
