When I got to San Ysidro Friday afternoon the exchange places in San Ysidro were giving 18.23 pesos per dollar but in an instant they all changed to 17.92 before I could get to the window. Selling pesos fpr dollars was at 18.53. In Tijuana the exchange places were giving 17.70 pesos per dollar and you could sell back for 17.98. With American greenbacks in your pocket buy in San Ysidro. When leaving Mexico sell in Tijuana. You may think it's only a matter of a few bucks but over time it adds up. I took out pesos at an ATM that afternoon and received 18.60 pesos per dollar for my $500 and sold back in Rosarito for 17.86 so the profit was 500 X. 74 so I made 370 pesos. If you intend to spend $500 in your mongering trip use a debit card at a Tijuana ATM to receive more pesos. In my example the difference was 18.60 versus 17.92 times 500 equals 340 pesos more.

You will have issues going into Tijuana as they now ask for your travel documenta. If you look Latino and / or want to chance it, just stay left and walk through the "locals" line. Last Saturday I saw a few trying to enter Mexico get diverted but not sure why.

However I think this is why I've seen daytime AB and HK girls just chilling at TB in "civvie" clothes after their shift (about 6-7pm). You can go talk to them but they generally just drink buckets of beer and watch people dance (girl shows and then general grope-fest mongers with bar girls).

Its a cool place. I've noticed when I walk in I think, "theres no one here I find hot," (by HK standards) but after about 20-30 minutes you start noticing a flavor you like. The trick is to grab them before the Chinese guys do (nicknamed Chinos). Ive seem them pull out a wad of bills at least 5inches thick. I am amazed they dont get rolled by the policia and everyone else before they get to the clubs.

All of a sudden this wack job just starts causing a scene. This guy looked rough. I was at the point where they gave me my I'd back and was walking around by the X-ray machine. So I had a front row view. This guy starts throwing mock haymakers at the agents as each one got near him. Finally they surrounded him and probably thought ok which one is going to take this guy down. He was getting unruly and looked like he hadn't bathed in a month. By this time I was told move along so out I went shaking my head. Guy was probably in secondary getting searched for drugs. Glad it wasn't me who had to touch that dude. Never did see the ending. After they get broke in here then they move across the street to HK, AB or even las chavelas. I don't hang in TB much these days but I have met chicas in this place who just drink and dance. No al hotel. Nowadays if I do pop in there it's just for a couple beers and then I'm out. Like the above post I don't find anyone attractive in this club and it's been years since I took one upstairs. A spur of the moment work trip has me coming to San Diego. I don't have time to get a passport or any other special I'd. Can I get into Mexico and back into the US (more importantly!) with just a driver's license? Any other recommendations from my fellow mongers? I'll be so close to Tijuana that I'd hate to miss the opportunity to visit.

Do not even waste your time going down to the border and try and cross INTO MEX without a passport or a passport card. They will turn you away with just a drivers lic. Also, there have been numerous posts about this subject since the laws changed last fall. Feel free to scroll back to the end of last year / beginning of this year. Moe.

It is OK to come back into US with just driver's license. You may get a very brief lecture when you cross back by the US boarder agent.

I went to the border last week to verify this and the workers confirmed.

I recommend youtgo to the county of SD passpor processing ctr. It takes about a hour. The will give you a receipt for of application and you can cross with this.

If I'm at the ALLEYS or BARS how can I tell if a girl is a provider?

Aside from someone working in a retail shop or restaurant, every girl in the Zona Norte is probably available. Certainly every girl working in one of the larger bars. A civilian girl wouldn't be hanging out in the alley leaning against a wall. Even the meseras (waitresses) in the bars may go up if you ask them. At the very least they won't be offended by the question.

You may come across an attractive girl or two in plain street clothes walking briskly through the alley from time to time. They will often try to make eye contact with you as they pass by and they could even be caucasian. These are the freelancers or "walkers" who are out trying to make a quick buck to score some pharmaceuticals. Newbies should proceed with caution.

Baja is a very liberal state in Mexico compared to other parts of the country. Theyre very open about prostitution and even if you are not in the tolerance zone it's not considered a big deal. On the other hand, I would refrain from even looking at anyone who might not be of age. I have seen many kids over the years wandering around in the zona. During the day when school lets out, maybe their parents work there or they need to walk home through there. Crimes against children are not taken lightly down there. If your not sure if a girl is working maybe ask if she might know where you can get some companionship. If she's interested she'll let you know or point you in a different direction. I've never messed with those addicts in the alleyways. Most of them are hooked on something and there is a good chance they will just take your money and split. Most of them are too but ugly anyway for me to partake but to each his own. Moe.

She already has a deal with the hotel (which is probably in the building she is leaning against). Remember, it is perfectly legal and you can negotiate openly. They are spread out all along both sides of the streets about 10-15 feet apart.

Your biggest problem is picking a lady. You will be like a kid in a candy store with a shiny new nickel.

This is almost comical. When Mexico initiated the entry visa for pedestrian walk overs last year I paid the fee and got a paper visa good for, I think, 4 months.

Well that 4 months has come and gone a few times but no worry as I show it to the Mexican border patrol staff and they don't even read it just motion to me to go around the left side.

Chino tourists trucking through zona Norte like a Beijing freight train is nothing new. I've seen this for years. You'll definitely see them in AB and HK not so much the other bars. It is quite funny how they March in train formation. The chicas that work in the bars shake their heads and say all the time. Nobody prevents them form walking through but the no picture / video taking rule still applies. Moe.

I go with the US girls all the time and have actually far less problems with the Mexican SG's. I have found that many of the Mexican SG's will try and scam you or not live up to their word. The other problem is that the SG's are willing to do far less. The US girls will do just about anything and do not complain much if at all. The downside is that it is much harder to find a good looking US girl. There is only 3 US girls worth picking up and they are not around much. Most of them see only 1-2 customers a day. It's true that they are almost all addicts. If you are getting BBJ the you should ask them open their mouth and see if they have any sores.

So one girl and one night stay and I just counted up about $300.

I'm rethinking the real costs and not to mention the hassle of traffic down and back to LA (2. 5 hours each way traffic jams excluded) along with the risks of all the damn Tijuana beggars and other risks and for $300. You can have a beautiful young HX girl to suit your fancy!

" I'm guessing if you can swing a week night (not Friday) visit you'll find more reasonable prices.

In my 10+ year Tijuana mongering career I did one Friday and one Saturday visit. After each I vowed "no more. " Wednesday was always my sweet spot.

I did take a SG to hotel Ibiza a few months back which sits next to malquerida bar. Similar look to rizo de oro so as we were checking in I asked the guy at the desk how much for just myself toda la noche. He said 30 sun-thurs and 50 Fri. And sat. Walked into the room with the SG and was pretty impressed I just haven't had the chance to do an overnighter in a while and try this hotel out. I typically pay 300 or even 400 pesos for sin ropa suck and fuck. For 200 pesos I can usually get suck or fuck con ropa. Regardless of what price you agree to, it is financially to your advantage to agree on price and service while you are still on the street. That sin ropa upgrade that would be a free addition or 100 pesos on the street could cost an extra 200 pesos if requested in the room. You have the negotiation advantage while on the street with many other options within a few feet. I largely agree the problem is find a SG that is will do BBJ and do a good job. There is is one girl named Karina / Carina that hangs out near the east end of the alley on the HK side. She has high cheek bones and is very sweet. Carina does CBJ is very willing please. Currently Carina is on vacation for about a year I believe. In many cases I will ask for BJ and the girls want $10 extra. Samantha that hang out in front of the Cascada hotel wants $30 min for a CBJ only and then wants extra for sin ropa. Samantha is good looking, but that is too much for CBJ.

These days I go with the US girls because they are cheaper and more willing to please. These girls will do BBJ and facials without any complaint. Anybody tried it? How's it working?

I have heard that it takes longer to go back across. I will probably keep using the old crossing since I park on the east side of I-5. The US customs plans to tear down the old pedestrian crossing building on the east side. It is unclear if they plan to build another facility to allow people to cross on the east side.

The other problem is that the ramps near the river look kind of unsafe and rickety. So I would keep crossing on the east side at least for now.

I just need to break and get a sentri pass so I can just walk right up and cross. The situation with crossing back over into the US has really caused me to cut my trips in recent years. I probably spent 30 minutes completing the GE online application plus 30 minutes in the personal interview. In my case I also spent 1 hour round trip driving to and from the interview. So, 2 hours plus $100 is what GE cost me. Total calendar was probably 2 or 3 months from application completion to card in hand. That card typically saves me an hour each time I cross the border plus about 20 minutes each time I get on an airplane.

I've now had it for 2. 5 years and it has probably saved me over 80 hours waiting at TSA plus waiting at the border. It's a huge return on investment for me.

I do have ready lane card but every time I'm on my way back into the US in the pedestrian line, ready lane is just as long as general public. I'll look over at sentri Lane and what do you know, no wait at all. Just walk right up. Sounds like to me I should of just went the GE route back when instead of that stupid border card. Interview today. In and out in 30 minutes, including wait time. Only one issue. I didn't read the info closely enough. Turns out my passport expires next year and renewal triggers another GOES interview. Should have renewed passport first, then applied for GOES. Oh well. At least I'm a "Trusted Traveler" for a couple of trips planned for late Summer / early Fall.
