If the kid is 17 and looks and acts and represents herself or himself as being over 18, that, of course, while not entirely excusable is a different story. But these offenders were repeatedly told the chatters' ages. There simply is no excuse for this behavior. Maybe, I'm weird, but I never knowingly would involve myself with a minor of any age. In fact, I don't find women by and large under 25 attractive and do not date women under 30. Even if attractive, a women in her 20's lacks the maturity, intelligence, and experience I'm looking for.

How many red flags have to go off if someone you hit up on BP is underage, let alone 14, and then to follow through is even dumber. I'm curious to hear more about this story as it develops.

I might have some sympathy for someone who unknowingly engaged in some shit like this but to knowingly try to diddle a middle schooler is pretty low. I make a point to not judge people on their monger choices unless you're some asshole with no street sense paying double but I draw the line at underage.

He took her everywhere he went, introduced as her girlfriend all the time, etc. The girl claimed she was 21 or something. One day he got beat up real bad and we all wondered why and the guy who beat him up said the girl was only 12. It was the girl's dad who beat him up or something and we all told him that she claimed to be 21. Dad got pissed off at her and sent her away. Also ended up covering my friend's medical bills after he beat him up.

One day there was a houseful of boys and girls (she was into the goth thing at the time). There was this one "kid" that looked a little older to me. He had the goth clothing, black lip stick, enlarged holes in his ears, black fingernail Polish etc. I zeroed in on him. I asked his name, "Jester" (yes really). I asked how old he was, "22". WTF?! I asked him why he wanted to hang out with 13 and 14 year olds. "I relate to them on a spiritual level". I calmly told him to leave and if I ever saw him at my house, near my daughter or any of her friends he was going to relate to the spirits in the spirit world. He left.

A couple of weeks later I came home from work early, there he was at my house, eating a freakin sandwich. I grabbed him by the ear hole thing, drug him out side. I gave the ear hole a quick jerk, off came the ear ring thing, with his scream and two hunks of ear hanging and bleeding. I commenced to beat the shit out of this guy. Four of her friends pulled me off shortly before he would have gone to the spirit world. He tried to sue me for pain and suffering, hospital bills etc. My lawyer took care of that. I didn't pay a dime and I never saw him around my house or my daughter again. Now that I think about it, I didn't see any boys around the house after that.

Of course you can be "charged" for anything but whether charges stick is another story. I am no lawyer but I don't see how charges that serious can stick if the "victim" isn't underage. Anytime the news cameras are around expect bullshit. If the provider is underage make sure you have people to put money on your books while you serve time.
