I texted both and both replied, neither gave any indication they were cops, neither asked for anything specific. I asked them both for their age and both replied they were of age, 19 and 21 specifically. So basically neither gave me any obvious red flags. Both had ads up for two days only and now they are gone. I have not tried to contact either since.

You are right about them busting johns like they are saving the world, but at the end of the day justice is at least somewhat served and we have reasonable judges, johns get released at the scene and when they go into court, plea bargains to disorderly conduct. Look up the cases from the Liberty sting, about half have been closed and all have reduced charges. One of them even had the case dismissed entirely.

I'll begin by saying there is a special place in hell for predators. Now that that's out of the way. I've never understood how that works. Like you are talking to an undercover cop "pretending" to be 16 years old. Then they charge you soliciting a minor. But you didn't. You didn't actually solicit a minor at all. Doesn't really matter if they "thought" they were soliciting a minor. At the end of the day. They actually didn't solicit a minor at all. So that crime was never actually committed.

Defense attorney: so you were pretending to be 16. How old are you?

Cop on the stand: 36.

Defense attorney: So my client actually didn't ask a 16 year old for sex? Yes or no?

Cop on the stand: Well No. No he did not.

Defense attorney: correct. He actually solicited sex from a 36 year old male police officer. This case seems closed. Drop these specific charges.

Case closed.
