Never pay up front. There isn't any provider in the Daytona area that is so good or so hot that you must pay up front. If they insist, turn around and walk out.
I've been in the hobby for several years. If I've learned anything, I've learned that the good providers, the honest providers, don't insist on being paid up front.
Rip-offs are being reported more now than I've ever seen here before. It's bad enough now that I ask the provider before I even head out to see her if she insists on payment up front. If she does, I tell her to forget it. If she tries to collect first when I arrive, I turn around and leave.

Even in the best case, the chick stays and does her thing. Once she has the money, she has no reason to work for it.
