Prostitution bust nets six arrests

SOUTH BEND -- Officers with the Neighborhood Enforcement Service Team made more than five prostitution arrests Thursday at various locations.

Six women were taken into custody, ages 26, 27 34, 35, 40 and 41, near the 800 block of West Lindsay Street, the 400 block of East Indiana, the intersection of Donald and Michigan streets, Ewing and Michigan streets, St. Joseph and Fox streets, and Eckman and Michigan streets.

The string of arrests happened between about 2 and 6:30 p.m.

Quick cruise down Marion at 5:30 pm found 2 rock stars walking up the street. One I see alot with lots of crackney. The other I don't think I've ever seen before. When I turned back I remembered I needed to hit the ATM. Of course they were gone when I came back.

I've been an observer of the Har/Mar area social scene for a while now.
