Any one have any info on a Notel Motel near Midway? Or near south side. Reasoanably priced and CLEAN. Don't want seconds on the sheets. There is the Midway Motel at 49th & Cicvero and they still have the 4 hrs for 30, I think.

A lot of the little 4 hour places have been bought up and they are now charging 120 to 160 for the night. Someone has finally become wise about the travelers in from Midway.
The newly remodeled places may have changed the decor a little, but they are the same skanky hotels the SW would live eat and sleep in.
One touts a " fitness room" for the executives which is just a few weight machines above the lobby. It costs 160 a night, when 2 years ago you could get the same room for 40 bucks.
The Skylark is on Archer and Cicero... I think its cheap. As far as the clean sheets go. I would not trust any of them. Bring your own sheet in the trunk of your car. Even if you are going to the Peninsula you just can not trust the help to do the right thing.

The Midway Motel is $32/4 hours and it's a dump but cheap. They do cahnge the sheets after each stay. the Skylark is a little nicer but still a dump and it's around $45-55 for 4 hours (weekends being more). If you go down to 79th St there are some chain hotels that are $50-70 for the whole night.

I am back from a trip to Europe. Amsterdam was business as usual. There are plenty of hot girls among the 200-300 in the red light but that is a factory and you generally get rushed service and everything is covered. I was wondering how long it would take before they shut down all these new places. Geez, there are like 6-8 of them between my neighborhood and Chinatown. I know that they need the extra envelope $$ since they shut down the hired truck and other scams.

With an eye on the Feb. 27 election, Chicago aldermen focused on quality of life issues today. Issues included handbills and collection bins that litter Chicago neighborhoods to stop sign runners and illicit massage parlors that endanger residents.

The massage parlor crackdown has emerged as a red-hot issue in the 45th Ward race after VIP Salon Day Spa, 4422 N. Milwaukee, was found to be offering illicit sex acts in the back and broadcasting some of them over the Internet.

Incumbent Ald. Pat Levar (45th) has been under fire from opponents for not moving quickly enough to close the place.

To counter the criticism, Levar drafted the massage parlor ordinance approved at today's City Council meeting.

Among other things, it prohibits agreements or offers to remove clothing or touch "sexual or genital areas" and bars employees from blocking the entrance to prevent viewing from outside. Massage parlors would also be required to maintain records of all customers, including details of whether they paid by cash, credit or check.

"We want to stop the money laundering in this business and the trafficking of human bodies," Levar told his colleagues.

"It's about time somebody moved on this. Many of these massage parlors are nothing but a cover for houses of prostitution," said Ald. Bernard Stone (50th).

I was out cruising a bit Sunday night around midnight. I took a pass down 47th and then Cicero and it was really dead out there. I mean ghost town. After 2 passes through there, I tried 51st. At Hoyne and 51, I found Christina. This is a different Christina than I posted on the other day and now I am not sure which one Ipickumup had met. This one is short, about 30-early 30's. It was incredible: I had just pulled off the road over by maxwell street to take advantage of what I thought was the Black History Special listed on the banner you can see from the highway.
