Kay Bee already answered the Korean vs. Viet question. Years ago, when this was Club Magazine Girl, they had a little of everything: Koreans, Viets, Thai, Filipinas, even a haole now and then. I spent too much time and way too much money there before my long "exile" on the mainland!

I got there a little after 7pm, and was leaving around 8:30 or 9:00. The hotties started coming in after 8 while I was in the champaign room. I noticed them on my way out to the parking lot.

The girl I was with was aggressively trying to sell me on the back room almost from the moment I sat down. I hadn't planned on playing, just gathering intel for a future visit. But after one beer for me and one lady's drink, Mina starting giving me a BBBJ in the booth as a "sample" to change my mind. The fee for the room was $3.3 but I think if you use "green paper" instead of plastic, they won't charge the extra $.3. Once in the room, the BBBJ continued, along with some DFK, and we finished off with BBFSTCCIP but as always YMMV.

If I recall, I had 2 beers, and bought 2 lady's drinks before going in the back. I could have gotten by with just one drink each, but I was reluctant to go in the back since I was pressed for time. Mina had to persuade me. So, total damages were $3.74. I know that's a bit steep compared to the AMPs, but if you like a little conversation and "foreplay" before getting down to it, it's a nice change of pace. I like variety in my mongering. KB's, AMP's, SW's...it's all good!

Went to this place with a friend, and had a pretty face named Angela sit with me. She was skinny with a flat ass, but her bedroom eyes were very alluring. I didn't stay long, so I couldn't really make any significant move for extras, but I want to know if she plays, and if it is worth my while to go back and pursue her. Also, does anyone know about the Japanese hostess bar right next to Nappam called La Vien Rose or something like that? I went in there by mistake, and there were a few lookers in there, but the protocol seemed different as they seemed to cater more to the Japanese tourists.

All I know is that when I was last there a few months back, there was a $10 per person table fee. I opted to sit at the bar (seeing that I didn't know what kind of girls to expect). The girls I saw were HOT! but they also seem like the bitchy, stuck up Japanese girls type.

As for La Vie En Rose, I've ben in there, but usually sit at the bar. The girls are good looking but your typical Japanese Bar fare. There usually is no play from them, but they will walk you to your car bow as you leave and wave goodbye until you are out of sight.

What about the champagne rooms? I saw some nationals go in there and then, it seemed like all the girls went in and ignored the floor. There were litterally no other women outside of the room. That must have costed a lot, but it doesn't seem to be worth it if there is no play.

I think she sends her money to help support her parents in Korea. She used to work at Emerald City before she moved to Tomorrow. She used to model in Korea and was even going ot go into acting in a drama was not willing to put up with the proverbial "casting couch".

2650[/QUOTE]I seriously doubt there is any play in the place. Typical Japanese bars are more for show than anything else. That is why they are used to entertain clients in Japan. Pretty much drinking and conversation with a pretty girl serving you and that is all.

I was taken to a few very exclusive/private hostess-style clubs while in Japan last year. No way in hell I would have gained entre' on my own, but I was with my Sensei who is a hardcore drinker and ladies man. Kind of scary with Yakuza everywhere, but was introduced to one who was a fellow Iaidoka and he took me to a few other places. The women were absolutely PHENOMINAL--I've never seen anything like it, and all available for a price.

La Vien and that Toma bar in front seem like bogus watered down versions. The cover charge is applied selectively. A couple of years ago while in a really bad mood I checked into Toma. Was just looking for a quiet place to brood a little and cool off. When the bartender asked for the cover charge, I grabbed him by the neck and told him it is illegal to charge a cover unless it is clearly posted up front. He said no problem.

The situation with Tomorrow is the whole block is being demolished via Ala Moana is building another department store with a parking lot.

Rodeo: Channel went in with a shoe string budget and a cute face after being dismissed by Hana at Emerald City. Most of the time the mama has to put up some money in good faith, but Channel gave a sob story and the landlord fell for it. Most of these girls are professionals on extracting money from your wallet or credit card. I know I have fell for the lovey dovey treatment to only throw down some big money before. I did date one KB girl for about a year to find out she was kind of mental or had issues. She really fell in love with me but I was not feeling the same.
Shine: She is fluent in Japanese and I think she use to work in Japan (same type of business). She will play for the right amount money. Be careful she is all about money.

Soo: I do not think she is working anymore or she might work only a couple times on the weekend. She has a sugar daddy that takes care of her.

Long time lurker, first time poster. I felt I just had to get in on this discussion because of recent experience and interest in this gal.

I have seen Shine at Club Tommorow a few times. She is younger (recently turned 28) and attractive in a cute school girl sort of way. She has a pretty face, but no body to speak of. She is thin, but not toned and has no tits or ass to speak of.

I agree with John Ross that Shine seems like a very nice girl with a charming personality. She speaks pretty good Japanese and attended some type of school there for a couple of years. However, her English is poor to fair. You can still communicate with her for the most part. Although you could spend a lot of $$ on her (she is a pretty fast drinker) my impression was that she was a "good girl" and was only good for conversation and a little snuggling. I think she has yet to be seriously corrupted by the KB life She worked at Emerald City for less than six months and at Tommorow for a couple of months.

She is working to support her divorced, aging mother in Korea and sends most of her $$ back to her mom. She is desperate for money and hustles drinks / shochu / champagne very well. She usually does not take a day off. Despite these money issues, my feeling is that she will only provide companionship / conversation and no play in or out of the bar. She gets a little belligerent, not horny when she drinks too much. She keeps telling me that she is a good girl with high moral standards and refuses to "sell her body" as many of her fellow bar girls do. She also told me of her modeling/acting opportunity in Korea which didnt play out because of the "casting couch" requirement. Have any of you gotten any actual play or offers of play from her in or out of the bar??

Although it may seem like a waste of money, I periodically see her and spend a few $$ on her for just the conversation / snuggling / companionship. No expectations or desires for play. She seems like a nice girl in a tough situation who I kind of feel sorry for. She just doesnt get my mongering juices flowing.

She has expressed interest in getting to know me better outside the bar. I am above average looking and in my 30's with a good job / income. I am also married with kids (which she doesnt know). She probably sees me as a possible rescuer and has asked me out on dates on several occasions which I declined by making up some lame excuses. I did agree to go to dinner once which was too much of an adventure for me since I am still married with kids. Boy my head was sure on a swivel in fear of being seen by my wife, family or friends. I have a hard time telling if these dates are an actual interest or just a bar girls obligation to keep me as a customer. She is real charming and probably could tempt a weaker man into falling for her. However, I abide by every KB Mongers #1 Rule of Engagement: NEVER fall in love with a bar girl. It will probably only lead to a wild roller coaster ride and a world of hurt.

Overall, my impression is that Shine is a real nice girl to spend a few $ on for companionship/conversation. I dont think she is a player. For play, your money is better spent at a Viet bar. Any one with other opinions/experiences about Shine?

However that pride of her's is a 2 edged sword. Because of it she gets really down on herself because of what she is doing now and causes her to have some really emotional episodes.

Overall though, I don't think she gives out easy play. Like everyone says go to VB for that. Don't make it hard for yourself. However, there are some eye candy there and its always good to take it easy and just converse.

Yes, I was made well aware of her upcoming birthday on 29 June several days prior. I saw her on her birthday eve and spent a fair amount of coin. It seems like these bar girls are always having birthdays.

The night of her birthday eve, she was fine. I also saw her the next night, but left rather early because of an early next workday. My friend told me she got pretty drunk and got all emotional at the end of the night muttering something about already being 28 with nothing to show for it.

I also have experienced this emotionality whenever she has too much to drink. She does drink a lot nightly and probably does have an alcohol abuse problem. I think she is still haunted by "demons" that come out when she is drunk. I think these "demons" are a result of some difficult early childhood experiences. She does get rather spooky when she is drunk. Have you ever noticed the multiple laceration scars on her left arm and wrist? Prior suicide attempts/gestures?--spooky. Even more reason to avoid getting too close.

Does anyone know any info on Julie (Korean, mid-late 30's) from Tomorrow?

There are a lot of crap I heard from other guys like she got divorced and stuff. Its all bullshit. She lives in a big house now on east Oahu. I hear Patty mama (New Office) bought Star Palace. Several months ago I was told by several different people that Patty wanted to open another bar. Does anyone else know any info?

Friends will be closing soon. They were bought out by Vietnamese. The bar seen use to be ruled by Korean now Vietnamese are taking over. That’s okay with me because I get good service in the VB (not counting Boda), in the KB I seem to spend a sh_t load of money.

All the girls are crying about how slow it has been. I’ve had girls asking me to first be there Honey then when I past they say okay how about a Sugar Daddy…not. They seem to really want to leave the KB business. The only bar that seems to still be busy is Maya’s and Niagara after 2am

She also said she did not buy June and Kengi's place and will be taking a break for alittle while. Like you said, so who knows?

Got kinda tired of wasting money in VBs and also short on funds,so stopped here. Not too crowded, heard some girls get into some heated arguements with some customers. Also sat with Wendy and got HJ after buying her 2 drinks.

Stopped by D Amore and chatted with Helen and Miki. Most of the girls that were at freinds went to D Amore.

Ann (Patty's sister/New Office) will be taking over T-Time soon, either at the end of Sept or begining/mid Oct. Some of the employees from Niagara has already given there 2 weeks notice.
